As a 360 (primarily) and PC player, I really don't see the incentive to buy this other than to have all the discs in the same shiny new package. It's a great deal and all, but considering I already own the trilogy twice over on the 360 (bought multiple copies to replace broken/scratched discs) - including the ME1 LE and ME3 CE - and on the PC, as well as all the DLC for both consoles, there is no point.
This is a complete marketing fail: don't offer a trilogy pack until you have a reason for people who already own the games to blow their money on it. PS3 players are getting a more polished version of ME1, from what I understand. Why not add some spit and shine to ME1 while fixing known bugs for ME3 and releasing the trilogy then? Or some other incentive? At this point, the only people who have a stake in buying the trilogy pack are PS3 players who never got ME1 in the first place, and perhaps people who only ever bought the game used and never got the Cerberus code in ME2. I wouldn't even say this panders to hardcore collectors, because if we have all three games in CE and all the DLC, then why would we buy this? Sure, it's a good price and all, but it will serve no purpose other than to be a duplicate set.
Better route: should've waited til NEXT holiday season to have something to offer everyone in a trilogy pack, and released ME1 for the PS3 this holiday season as a treat for them. I just don't understand whoever thought releasing a trilogy pack would make anyone who already owns the games on the original platforms buy it. I'll wait until another trilogy pack is released with some updates to the games and possibly new content.
