Well the Mass Effect series is finally ruined for me. The horrid PS3 should not have had this great game series and now the first game is ruined for me. ME should have stayed on the 360 where it belonged. The PC was a good port, but the PS3, that can go and rot for all I care. The PS3 is a horrible console and ME is forever tainted by it,

I don't' care what anyone says about me and what I say, so you can all drop it now, and I will not comment further. I came here to say what I wanted to say and that is it.

Its magic, I don't even need to type anything to make this a joke. Magic:wizard:

It would be nice if they did an update to the frame rate on the 360 for ME1 it was pretty bad at times when there were a lot of enemies on screen and biotic powers being used.

I kind of feel sorry for this guy. That's a tough way to go through life. :?

FYI, no Pinnacle Station for PS3. According to Ryan Warden, the source files were corrupt and couldn't be used.

Maybe I missed this somewhere in this thread, but since the original ME2 for PS3 couldn't import an ME1 save (because until now there wasnt one), how will buying the stand alone version of ME1 integrate with ME2 now?

Small decisions like Conrad Verner were not part of the 'big 4' decisions of ME1 and likely were left out in the 15 minute interactive comic.

Will it require the trilogy edition to be able to import my custom shepard from the new ME1 for PS3 into ME2?

The content is supposedly on the original game. It just wasn't enabled.

Will the disc version of the trilogy come with the import function enabled, or will you need to download a patch? My consoles aren't connected to the internet (I use a wireless dongle to surf the net) so if the import function isn't enabled on the disc when it's sold, then the trilogy is useless to me.

Why in God's name are they not including all of the DLC with this bundle?  I love the entire Mass Effect series, but as someone who has played ME1-ME3 from begining to end, all DLC included, what insentive do I have to rebuy this game if they won't even offer me the convenience of including ALL of the DLC?

So with the release as a trilogy are they updating the graphics from 1 and 2 as well? Is there even any reason to buy it as the trilogy if you already bought all 3 as a standalone? Hell even without a graphics update I'd probably be tempted to buy it if it at least went seamlessly from 1-3 in a single big game but I doubt that's what they've done.

Awesome to finally have a release date for the PS3, that's the best news I've heard all week!! :)
I posted Ryan Warden's announcement on my facebook to let some of my other friends know and a friend of mine who's never played the trilogy before (but would like to) commented and was wondering if it was coming out for the Wii U. I told him that to my knowledge it didn't look like it was but that I would ask here just to be sure. I might've missed some discussion on this earlier in the thread or something, I don't know.

No it's just a collection of the 3 games for those, who don't have them already so they have all in one package and don't have to buy 3 separate games.
If you have all 3 games there's absolutely no reason to buy the Trilogy.

As a 360 (primarily) and PC player, I really don't see the incentive to buy this other than to have all the discs in the same shiny new package. It's a great deal and all, but considering I already own the trilogy twice over on the 360 (bought multiple copies to replace broken/scratched discs) - including the ME1 LE and ME3 CE - and on the PC, as well as all the DLC for both consoles, there is no point.

This is a complete marketing fail: don't offer a trilogy pack until you have a reason for people who already own the games to blow their money on it. PS3 players are getting a more polished version of ME1, from what I understand. Why not add some spit and shine to ME1 while fixing known bugs for ME3 and releasing the trilogy then? Or some other incentive? At this point, the only people who have a stake in buying the trilogy pack are PS3 players who never got ME1 in the first place, and perhaps people who only ever bought the game used and never got the Cerberus code in ME2. I wouldn't even say this panders to hardcore collectors, because if we have all three games in CE and all the DLC, then why would we buy this? Sure, it's a good price and all, but it will serve no purpose other than to be a duplicate set.

Better route: should've waited til NEXT holiday season to have something to offer everyone in a trilogy pack, and released ME1 for the PS3 this holiday season as a treat for them. I just don't understand whoever thought releasing a trilogy pack would make anyone who already owns the games on the original platforms buy it. I'll wait until another trilogy pack is released with some updates to the games and possibly new content.

I'm pretty sure it's through a patch...I don't think they made any changes to ME2

You're going to have to find a way to connect your PS3 to the internet.

The ME2 patch will enable you to import ME1 saves into ME2. Regardless of whether you get ME1 in the Trilogy or from the PS Store.

@Bioware: When you do all the DLC for Mass Effect 3, you should make a huge, masters, ultra collector's edition with all sorts of goodies, comics, the books, artbook, nice case, whatever. I sort of want this but this doesn't feel like, I want sort of like a thing to put on a coffee table and this isn't really that. This is cool for people who haven't already played the games.

It boils down that this is for people who havent got all the games or for PS3, the people who dont have ME1. I hope when ME3 DLC is done releasing Bioware goes back and creates the Ultra Trilogy edition that has all DLC for ME1-3 included, that is the pack most fans of this series are wanting. This Trilogy pack is for people who have never played Mass Effect and who are still scoping out the series.

I'm going to take a guess that for folks who already own all 3 games and what not probably already have all the DLC anyway. I've played all the ME games and own 2 and 3 on the PS3. I don't wish to invest in an xbox to play the entire trilogy and I hardly use my PC for gaming. So when Bioware announced they'd be bringing ME1 to the PS3 as a trilogy I was like oh hell yes!! I'm a nut, a fool, a sucker, whatever one may wish to call me, but I am totally buying this Trilogy pack knowing full well I own ME2 and the CE version of ME3 already. I just can't wait to delve into ME1 and run though the rest of the games again. Will be a blast. :)

It sounds like it could be from either two songs off of the soundtrack, those titles are "One Last Speech" and "Final Battle". That would be around the part in ME2 where Shep's giving his crew a speech and the cinematics that are aound that part. Just a guess though. :)
