Aren't there links in the forums here to were you can get the various patches for the games? Thats were i got min and i kept backups on disc just to be safe.

Can anyone confirm weather or not people who buy the trilogy set will still need that ridiculous code for BDTS or will it just in stall off the disk without issue

Good question.  My guess is that both Bring Down the Sky and Pinnacle Station will run off the disc and won't require a specific key (in the case of Bring Down the Sky).  There is a license key included with the set that downloads the Extended Cut for ME3 which I thought was a nice touch from BioWare.

Hmmm...the only reason i am buying a copy is so that i have BDTS on disc so if something goes catastrophically wrong with my pc i can reinstall without hasall or loosing the ability to play my old characters because i can't get the damned DLC to install what with the code apparently nlonger working and i can;t be arsed doing EA livechat.

As for the liscence key...wouldn't you still have to muck around with Origin to install the damned thing anyway?  and still have to pay for the BW\\XB points to get the rest of the stuff that wasn;t atleast pre order?

I bought the PC Trilogy-box today and am having a weird issue with the Dvds. Each time I try to install ME and ME2 it stops at 26% and 37% saying there is an error reading the discs. I already checked the discs (they were as clean as can be) and swapped them for the second one but there was no improvement. Is this a common problem or should I return to the store? (I can still download the games via Origin, but I prefer a disk)

How are you installing it? My copy just goes straight to Origin and had no troubles installing.

I'm installing from the disc. I automatically wind up in Origin.

is it possible to add the trilogy to show as an icon under your name to show you own ME1 like with other Bioware titles

I just received the physical discs. Put the ME3 disc in my drive, installed origin, entered the code. IT automatically found a copy that was installed from a borrowed disc (a friend has bought it, not a pirate copy, mind you). Synced my saves with 'the cloud' and offered me to download ME1 and ME2, all without using the discs. I expect that if I downloaded origin and entered the code, I would have not been required to even put the DVD included in the set. Posting this just in case anyone wonders as I did.
I got my Trilogy from amazon.

So to anyone with the 360 version, any differences? if you view game details on the dashboard with it in the disc drive, does it say EA as the publisher or still MS like the old copies? And I'm guessing it doesnt count as a different game so you couldnt double your achievements from it.

I have a question regarding the activation codes.
Just got my trilogy, because I seem to have missplaced Mass Effect 1 and 2 while moving a while ago.

Will the trilogy will be compatible to my already owned dlc and activation codes?

ME1 and ME2 are currently $10 each on Steam (ME2 Digital Deluxe $20).

In other news, I've noticed Dragon Age II (PC) is $6 as opposed to the $20 digital download, both in Amazon.

Yes, there will be a patch for ME2 to allow import of ME1 saves. It will be released around the same time as ME1, so probably next week. This info is from the Twitter feed of Ryan Warden, who's responsible for the ME trilogy.

Yes, you still have to install Origin and buy the remaining DLC for Mass Effect 2 and 3 separately.  The preorder content is not available for purchase via BioWare Points though; looks like it will remain exclusive...at least for now.

Yes, the trilogy is compatible with yout DLCs and it includes a separate key code.  I installed it on one my PCs  this weekend and it downloaded and installed all the DLCs I owned for ME2 and 3.  It's also compatible with your save files.

Ryan Warden (the producer of MET and PS3 ME1 port) said on Twitter that Microsoft's logo has been removed from 360 Trilogy version of ME1. EA owns 100% rights now so figures they would wanna 'fix' that little thing

I decided to install the trilogy since I recently reinstalled Windows 8 on my boxes and I have to say I was very pleased with the whole process.  I had already installed Origin and the trilogy simply installed a second copy of Mass Effect and new copy of Mass Effect 2.  It also installed a second copy of Mass Effect 3 and downloaded all of the DLCs associated with my Collector's edition for that copy (the same thing happened with Mass Effect 2).  The only glitch I encountered was Origin crashing and restarting which required the reinstallation of Mass Effect (not sure why that happened but it was probably just minor 'thing').

All told, I think BioWare did a great job with the trilogy set and I still have my non-Origin copies of ME and ME2.  Good job guys!  And yes, my ME and ME2 saves worked perfectly.

This grandad could not find a physical PS3 copy in his town, anywhere.
Anyone from the UK / Europe pick up the Trilogy today and confirm it has been released?

Possible dumb question, but I bought ME1 from PSn store I already have ME2 and 3 N7 edition. Does this have BDTS included or will that be added later as the DLC it is?
