And I'll stop complaining when Bioware/EA stops using blatant lies in their advertising.

Did you decide the fate of the krogans, the geth, or the quarians ? these kinda sound like decisions having consequences..

Wow, and I mean that with sarcasm. Bioware is wasting money to make a trilogy pack that will hardly even sell.

If anybody does buy it, they'll be spending x amount of money on one great game. ME3 destroyed the whole franchise by bringing in the star child. ME2 was good, but the game took a vacation from the main storyline, unless you include Arrival. ME1 was and still the best out of all three.

While I am extremely thrilled at this announcement, I have a few concerns. Is the only was to play the first ME through this trilogy, or will it be available separately on PSN? I already own ME for the PC, but I own ME2 and ME3 for the PS3. I would LOVE to start the series from scratch again on the PS3 and import through the trilogy.

Secondly, the PS3 version of ME2 as of now, does not allow importing from ME1 for obvious reasons. Now that those reasons are moot, can ME2 be patched to accomodate ME1 PS3 saves?

Thanks.

I'm not a fan of the physical format but this one looks very sexy, I'll be preordering the PS3 one.

Looks like my mom will finally play Mass Effect

As a ps3 owner I feel the ethic need to buy the whole trilogy to show Bioware the same love and support they showed us with this epic release.
I'll buy it without ifs and buts.
Bioware take mah moneeeeey!!! :)

It's a good thing that PS3 players will finally get a chance to play ME1. Hopefully there will be a Wii U version of the ME Trilogy as well.

"Experience an amazingly rich and detailed universe where your decisions have profound consequences on the action and the outcome."

Sorry, but I can't stop laughing after reading that.

The only game I ever miss playing since switching from Xbox to PS3 is Mass Effect 1. This news has made my day. :)

As a PS3 owner, thank you, Bioware! But please patch current versions of ME2 so I can import my ME1 save from the digital download version, otherwise it would be pretty worthless. I'd have serious reservations about buying the whole trilogy just for one (very old) game and the ability to import my save to ME2/3.

On the one hand, YES, and for Wii U WANT.

On the other hand...same incredibly idiotic, insulting ending? SO don't want to give Bioware money for ME again.

Decisions decisions...

I'd hardly call Mass Effect a very old game. It came out in 2007.

Though, yes. If it doesn't import over, it'd be a real shame.

I'm sure there will be a Wii U version of the ME Triology.

If ME3 does well for the wiiu then Bioware will most likely consider a trilogy port for the wiiu if they arent working on it already.

ME1 was such a bad**** game. That entire game (besides the gameplay
mechanics) was the best IMO. I played ME2 much more simply because of
the enomrous replay value with all the different squad members

but ME1 had those moments like:

Vigil
Meeting Wrex the first time (which could be 3 different scenarios)

Nihlus

The Exploration (despite the awful rhino-vehicle)

The Confrontation with Wrex

Wrex & his Elevator Talks

Noveria - and the greatness of how bad**** Noveria Mission was compared to barebone feros

Benezia Battle

Yellling at Liara when first meeting with her and telling her how stupid she is

Wrex Family Armor

Meeting Garrus the first time in the Med Clinic with Michel

Meeting Hanars the first time on the Citadel calling it a stupid jellyfish

Meeting the Volus's & Elcors the First time

Anderson Punching Udina

Corporal Toombs

Sovereign Confrontation on Virmire

The Greatness of Urdnot Wrex

[/list]There's so much more. ME1 had it. WTF happened with ME3...........how you lose the "magic" that ME1 had & ME2 had. I"m serious

Was it confirmed that the ps3 version will also include ME1?

Also what the above poster said.

Lots of people have asked but I'd also like to know if it will be a complete set including all the DLC. Would most likely make me buy it again if it did.

Should have waited for next year and be able to include all DLC for every game to have the complete trilogy in a bundle, rather than no DLC at all.

2. I don't know. I don't have a PS3.

Also if BioWare is rebuilding the first game for a PS3 release on the updated engine, I should damn well hope PC/360 players also have an updated version available as well.

Question!

Will ME1 be re-optimized for the 360 and updated for all platforms? This screenshot gives me the impression that it is: Image IPB
