Now it's 343.
So many fans don't now if this is going to be a good or bad thing.
Even less people know that key figures of Bungie now work for MS.

i havent pre-ordered it but will be getting it, same as my bro and friends... dont really pre-order any games to be fair, just go the shop and buy it, cant be dealing with the midnight release thing.....

I wouldn't say "back on track", but it wouldn't be a bad move if they must stick with the rubbbish they have instead of making the rubbish go away.

yea that's kinda BS, especially since just about everyone here has ME2 and ME3

On the bright side, that collection costs $60 which is really only the price of one game at retail. If they had padded the pricing, I would have been more bothered about already having ME2, and 3. I can trade in my ME2 and 3 copies now for a credit and even get a little bit of a discount on that bundle when it comes out.

I'd buy a Mass Effect Trilogy that included:

1. All the DLC. So it would have to come after the games themselves were done.
2. A revamped Mass Effect 1 & 2. I find ME3's combat and leveling system superior to 2's and 1's, so a full replacement would be amazing.
3. Graphical update/improvements to 1 and 2, mostly derived from 3.
4. A "one menu fits all" sort of thing. Not there separate games -- the Trilogy is one solid experience, allowing you to access ME1, 2 3 and the multiplayer.
5. Some other bonuses. Making ofs, interviews, behind the scenes and physical stuff.

I'd drop $120 for something like that.

This is very good news. I own m1 for the 360 and 2 and 3 for ps3. I would be willing to buy m1 for ps3 as a standalone but not an entire set. I haven't got any of the dlc for m3 yet but I may get it later I'd omega comes out. I really enjoyed m1 so this will work really well to make me replay and actually touch my ps3 again. At the time I got m2 and 3 my 360 was fried so now I have a chance at least to conclude my trilogy. I have halo 4 coming plus I want to see what the ps 3 version of m1 will look like and include.

PC version had better fix the crash bugs in ME1 related to multi-core processors or people that haven't played before are going to have headaches.

I sure do love having to disable 7 of 8 cores just to be able to play ME1 without crashing every 15 minutes (and even then sometimes it just doesn't help).

They need to work on their box art. Show something thought provoking rather than something that screams mindless action. My younger brother couldn't distinguish mass effect from gears of war..

I believe ME1 is coming to PS3. 

If so, you will be able to purchase it without getting the trilogy.

ME3 and ME1 are different games.

ME1 rocks! I highly recommend it to anyone, especially if you are more into good story.
ME2 + ME3 are better, as far as the shooter mechanics go.

But ME1 just rocks!
