Question for devs:
Will the decisions we make on ps3 ME1 affect and be acknowledged on ps3 ME2 and ps3 ME3 considering that when ME2 was released on ps3 there was no import choice aside from the comic. I'm referring to little choices like Conrad Verner, Giana Parasinni, Fist, Nassana Dantius, Barla Von or be able to import your customized shep from ME1 to ME2?
Yes? No? No if you only buy ME1 on the playstation store?Yes if you buy the trilogy with ME2 and ME3 again? No whatever you do?
Can someone clarify pretty please? =]

Mass Effect Trilogy

When does the Mass Effect Trilogy release?

  • Mass Effect Trilogy releases on November 6th 2012 for Xbox 360 and PC, and later for PlayStation 3.

Not conclusive, but certainly interesting.

Thanks for the help, not really an answer to our questions...

I'm willing to bet around the release date, they'll put out a patch for ME2 that will allow importing from ME1.

And I'm willing to bet this patch will already be included on-disc for the trilogy bundle.

Yeah, seems like a safe bet that Mass Effect 2 and 3 will receive patches to allow ME1 import details. It depends whether Mass Effect 2 just had that option switched off, or whether it needs a lot more programming, but I'm confident Bioware won't let us down.

I know there won't be any drastic changes to ME1, but a graphical tweak would be cool seeing as PS3 has more disc space than Xbox. To be honest, a straight port would be fine, the first game is beautiful to look at and play, I briefly owned an Xbox just to play that one game.

I don't have the link with me but it was confirmed on twitter that you will be able to port your ME1 character into ME2 and ME3.

I'm also concerned about whether we'll get the HUD from the 360 version or the PC version. I personally prefer the PC version's neat and tidy look, as well as its better organization system for gear (better compared to the god-awful 360's). Actully if we get stuck with the 360's HUD screen I'd be fine with it as long as we got the PC version's better gear management system.

Not PS3 technical support related. Others are discussing the PS3 release in the ME3 General Discussion forum.

End of line.
