For a moment I thought your avatar was Macaulay Culkin post-drug binge.

Thankfully it isn't and we can all breathe a sigh of relief.

Junkie Macaulay Culkin makes me sad.  I would not make him my avatar.

To keep this on topic, Brienne of Tarth knows all about ambiguous maybe-death scenes.  Duncan's wasn't one of those.

There was a thread about this and DG said Ducan dies at Ostagar.

Yes, but he could still get better.

Considering the many bogs around Ostagar, there might be a skeleton in one of them with fabulous hair. Kind of like this one, but with a beard.

specialization: spirit warrior (the spirit being the spirit of duncan)

c'mon, you know you want it

Spirit of Duncan? I like this idea!

I have another idea:

The Spirit of justice and Duncan's body?

After 10 years it would just be a skeleton. A skeleton with a beard, but a skeleton none the less.

THIS is one of the most baffling recurring threads to me. Look, I like Duncan too. He's a fantastic character. But one of his biggest contributions to the development of both Alistair and the Warden was his untimely death.

Besides, this is Dragon Age. When people die, they STAY dead.

So Duncan is dead, the real question is how long before he comes back to life?

I guess I could bring Duncan back to life, sure, if I really wanted to.

I do not. Occasionally Mike Laidlaw taunts me with Zombie Duncan (long story), but only to see me make The Face. This is not something that will ever happen.

In exactly three seconds, this thread will be about Leliana and Anders.

And where is the corpse?

Where all corpses go. Corpse Heaven.

Then resurrect him and bring him back. It wouldn't be a first in the DA series...

Um, no they don't.  I killed Zevran in DA:O, Ander's died in Awakenings (my playthrough) and they came back.

You DO know you can't say something like that without showing us, right?

Show us The Face.

You know you want to.

Just hope you are not planning to ressurect more NPCs from previous installment, like you did with DA:O

Ha! Wrong. It was ZEVRAN and Anders. You owe me a coke.

Zevran was not intended to come back. Evidently it doesn't matter how many times we bring it up, people will continue to think this bug was intentional. Which is too bad.

Anders and Leliana are both intentional, and while we explained how (or, in Leliana's case, will yet need to explain) that explanation is ultimately a ret-con, sure.

I am not nor will I ever ret-con Duncan's death. This isn't a subject that even needs to continue being discussed.

In fact, my answer on that is so definitive I'll simply close this down as having no relevance to DA3.
