They need MP to implement the online pass and EA's microtransaction, pay to win, weapon packs.

That's a most in current economic times we are living! Specially from a corps wallet perspective. At the end is the players choice to pay or not for it. In the meantime what can be a good bait to release those silvers out?

I don't want MP...But it's already pretty much confirmed that it's going to be in DA3 in some way, shape,or form.So i'm just going to ignore it like I did in ME3 :P

We will see soon, November when the Bioware team expose it on the events they'll be attending... I'm guessing of course but I do want my "Dragon Pet" in the main SP game!!!

I really don't see how any MP, other than coop, would benefit this series.

You're right, any other form wouldn't fit.  A Co Op campaign is the only form that actually makes sense.  The ME3 model would be completely and utterly pointless in the DA setting hence why they more than likely won't use it.

LOL that's the kind of friend I won't like to have at my side still is a great idea having free will in that matter. I like blaksmith in games. Those games that motivate you to look for that special item in this foreign dragon cave to forge the "ultimate mega powerful trash" weapon :o

Won't mind having to meet a Co-Op player that is a "requirement" to build up such a weapon/armor/fortress/catapult/beast! Yes I want to breed "pets" and if an online requirement is to breed between freinds pets that's nice!

Honestly, I liked Mass Effect 3's multiplayer mode. Oh sure, I think tying it into the war assets was a bad idea (at least to the extent that they did: 50% effectiveness by default), but the mode's fun. Blasting all those geth, rolling around as a volus, charging at the enemy and then running away like a coward. And occasionally the rare thrill (well, rare for me) of actually helping the team do something.

A lot of people are having kneejerk reactions to the idea. I don't know whether there will be multiplayer, and I honestly can't be that arsed to check, but it's not a terrible thing by default. Because, if done correctly, then it can just be ignored. Multiplayer's not your thing? Cool. But for those who do like it, or perhaps want to play with a friend, they can do it and heavily increase replayability for the game.

There's an issue of moving resources that could be used on singleplayer to the multiplayer mode, but that's not as big a deal as I've heard some people complain. IIRC, ME3's mode was developed by a team outside of the main SP guys. For instance, yes, ME3 could use some improvements, but if MP was removed it's probably be just as bad in those areas anyway.
