Decided to return to ME2, the game reaches the "press start" screen and plays the trailer if left idle then when i press start the viewpoint moves backwards and the screen goes black then nothing controls are unresponsive.
Not sure what to do, tried clearing the cache tried clearing and not installing the patch tried the other disk but it still happens.
Any advice?

first i would try and clear your system cache.

go to; Settings, Storage, and press Y for Xbox to bring up Device settings and clear system cache.

this will delete updates for some (maybe all) of your games, and as a result will prompt the download of the games most recent update when the game is loaded.


Secondly i would go through your ME2 dlc files, and save game file. (as well as all the files on your hardrive [games & Apps]) to see if any files are corrupted.

If any files are corrupted, that may be the source problem your having.
If a DLC file is corrupted, delete it and redownload it.
If it is a save game file, try reloading an auto save and delete and save over the corrupted file.


there is also a slight chance the problem may be you console itself. Hopefully not.

*slightly late reply/update*
Thanks for the advice, i already tried the cache and checked the files
It was a save game, I was messing with gibbed last time I played and must have screwed something up
So i moved all saves off the console used a backup with my latest save inserted and it worked
