Can we have the option to import an Anders that was killed in DA2, and have him be alive in DA3? Pleeeeaase?

Why? If you want him to live, just ... you know ... don't kill him. It's pretty straight-forward.

If this thread gets shut down, is it really dead, or will it come back?

If Alistair were to make an important appearance in the third game, but he was killed in DAO, they could make it like Ashley/Kaidan in which either Loghain or Alistair will fill the role of that key figure character in the storyline.

Leliana's fate will be ret-con in the third game, so we only need to know about how Anders is still alive if he were killed in the previous game. I hope they at least mention it if he weren't killed in DA2.

While Mr. Gaider is in the mood to confirm not-ambiguous character deaths that could theoretically result in ressurection/reappearance, is it intended for the Anders death choice in DA2 to stick?

Its quite clear that we kill him in DA2, but with the explanation for how he came back before(Justice possessing corpse), its possible for him to come back again, assuming that Justice was not forced back to the Fade when Anders was knifed. So could we get a confirmation of whether or not this possibility is being left open?

What about Justice/Vengeance? What happens to him if Anders is killed? He was one of my favorite characters, and I don't think he got nearly enough screen time in DAII to do the whole Anders-Justice merger concept justice.

Pun not originally intended, but now I'm keeping it.

We don’t know what’s going to happen to Justice. Mr. Gaider keeps hinting that Justice is going to show up again, but not the when and how. Which leave me both excited and anxious. For all I know us Justice fans will have to wait for DA4 to see Justice again. Posted Image

Both are gone if you killed Anders in Da2.I remember david saying exactly what mary did some months back about anders/justice death sticking, in a thread dedicated to justice resurrection, in the Da2 forums.

I almost don't want Anders to come back - at least not as a male LI - because I can't help but choose him, and I'd rather have a really compelling female companion instead.

New is sometimes better.

Edit: re: Justice's return:

If he comes back, I hope it's as the demon Anders transformed him into.  Maybe he can return to feast on Anders's soul as he reveals Anders's own true dark side in all its depth.

Soul feasting is cool.

But they could both be dead, as in my first playthrough of DA:O when I didn't know that bastard would dump me and then throw himself in front of a dragon like the idiot he was!  :pinched:<_<:?:crying:  That really kicked me in the feels, it did.

Am I missing something or does that not address both Anders and Justice? I'd like to edit the front page to cover it if it does.

I don't think it does. However, in the templar-siding rivalry ending, Anders says something about hoping that it would be Justice, not Vengeance, who rises from his corpse. I'm guessing that means Justice would live and just go back to the Fade. Whether or not Justice could come back is another matter - I think that he could, but seeing as killing Anders is optional, it probably wouldn't be anything significant.

That, is a great idea - just the chance of Loghain coming back in a main role would fill me with joy though.

Can't believe I was phrasing that as Justice "dying" all this time. Always meant a return to the Fade. Unfortunately dialogue implications or epilogue text slides aren't sufficient to make it official on the thread's OP. Trying to keep it limited to what we're absolutely sure about.

Wynne is dead, at least. Kicked the bucket in the books.

So much hypocrisy in some of the comments. In DAA he was "mentally ready" to go on living even if not very long, but happily. Why was it on that will not leave? But no, there he was resurrected, the whole game was tortured and eventually led to his death. (Slaughter)
Poor Anders((

Are they considered canon? That pretty much unambiguously settles another possible violation of the Cardinal Rules of Magic. Once somebody figures out how to teleport, magic will have no bounds.

Here's what David Gaider said about Justice in case of Anders being killed:

Out of curiosity, when Anders dies what happens to Justice/Vengeance? (if it's not too spoilery to say)

If you believe Anders, then Justice would have been freed. If not, then Justice was destroyed along with him.

Either way, Justice won't be possessing Anders' corpse. A dead Anders is gone.

Also,
if we had taken Anders with us into the fade in DAII and put the murder
knife through Justice/Vengeance, what would have happened to the two
(or one?) of them? I've always been curious about that and as his LI
wished I'd had the chance to chew that d**n spirit out for ruining my
boyfriend's life.

I'll leave that to speculation,
though I doubt that would be a good solution. It certainly would not
have simply killed Justice and freed Anders, at any rate.
