Meh. My pre-ordering days are done. Has nothing to do with DA3:I or recent BWE games. DA:O was my first pre-order. That was cool. The others since have been largely lack-luster.

Wait for reviews? Meh. I've learned that reviews are like measles. I don't know how they're like measles, but they're like measles none-the-less.

We need to make it clear what we want out of our games, yes. Hopefully with the big problems in the last couple releases, the ideal is getting closer to something we'll see in the future.

I definitely will get Dragon Age 3 no doubt about it. I loved both the Mass Effect and Dragon Age series (and yes that includes Dragon Age 2 and Mass Effect 3), and while ME3 had its share of flaws that doesn't change the fact that BioWare's made some quality games and one of the few developers that focuses on the western roleplaying game experience.

Preorder? Probably not. They'd really have to entice me to do that (and DLC items/cameos from other games don't cut it). But as for a first day (or week) buy that will probably be so, more so if they decide to release it on the Xbox 360 since I'm a console gamer first.

I've read so much that Bioware have had their last chance with their last two games and the way they treat the fanbase, and yet everyone on this board is acting like none of that happened.

You can count me as one of the people who did not buy ME3, have no intention of buying DA3 unless I seem some major changes, and I'm taking a break from posting in the forums until BioWare actually has something substantial to say about changing their current direction.  I don't even care about the ME3 endings, autodialogue is a way more unforgiveable sin in my mind.  If I want cinematics, I'll watch a movie, thanks BioWare!

User reviews? No. I will wait to play it to see if I am going to buy it.

I plan on buying it. I do not plan on pre-ordering it, I certainly do not plan on buying the CE. How soon I buy it will depend on when I have the money, and if there is a Me3 style uproar.

I don't usually care about reviews, but if it reaches the amount and volume of ME3, then I'll be highly wary of buying it.

If you didn't buy ME3 you probably have no idea how true your statement is.  ME3 could well have been a movie.  Yes, there is the occasional choice, and there are two or three story arcs that vary one of two ways, but otherwise it's more of a movie than a game.  I mean theres a gears of war clone in there, but not much of an rpg.

Pfft, ill end up buying it anyway, user reviews or not, i mean hell, it took the bioware fanbase (myself included) almost a year and a half to realize how pointless ME2 was. If there is an interesting preorder bonus ill preorder it, if not ill wait maybe a day, make sure it's not DA2, and then make a decision.

I will be pre-ordering. I can't imagine them announcing something so radically disagreeable to me that I would change my mind.

I'll be watching development, but it seems unlikely i'll be purchasing it.

Reasons are many.

Yup not buying anything unless it's vastly different and not just different from DA2 or ME3 but different from Origins. Origins was fun but nothing amazing.

It depends on what I see from now until it is available. IF I like what I see I will buy.

Right now I am not very interested in the new ME game nor the new IP as Casey is in charge of it. DA3 will be out first I think and it will determine if I buy anymore Bioware games.

User reviews are about as trustworthy as a windowless van with free candy spray painted on the side. If the game looks good I'll buy it.

Who is not going to buy this unless it gets excellent user reviews?

me.  I adore Bioware games so much but they really messed the end of ME3 the EC couldn't even save it and I wanted so hard for it to fix it.  I liked the EC but I still can't play the game and therefore I won't buy the DLC for ME3.

Bioware burned me so bad by making me care so much and then providing no real way to win in the manner I had become accustomed to that I am still a bit shell shocked about it I mean even Mario ALways beat Bowser and saved Princess Peach from Donkey Kong.

So You can bet every cent you own I will be waiting for user reviews and youtube videos.  I will not willingly invest hours of my life into a game that at the end kicks me so hard in the feel goods that I forgot what it feels like to feel good about a game.

I'll likely enjoy even the worst Bioware games, so I'll end up buying it whatever the reviews. What price I'm prepared to pay is more up for grabs

I don't preorder any games, but there's no review in this world that can keep me from buying this game.

I personally want no part of this game right now.

My wife and I each pre-ordered a DA2 (she for PC, me for xbox). That sure as hell won't happen again.

She may get it - she enjoyed DA2. If so, I may play hers if it looks good. But buy one for me? Nope.

After the last couple of games, no, I gave them the benefit of the doubt and regreted it. Pre orders are out. I won't say I wouldn't buy another game again, but I'll certainly wait before I make any decision. I do pre order, games like Skyrim and Borderlands 2 are a couple of the rare few I did. And I'm glad I made that decision.

I'll be watching the development of the game closely. Probably end up buying a pre-owned copy a few weeks after its out.

I know how you feel, I haven't really played a console game since the EC. I will play ME3 multiplayer occasionly with friends but haven't played anything like I used to, for any of my consoles. I have actually started going back to my PC gaming. I just recently upgrade my PC, and have been having fun again.

As to the main question: I will probably buy/pre-order Dragon age 3. I enjoyed Origins and actually liked DA2, there were things that bothered me but over all I enjoyed the game.
