Anyone putting their money where their mouth is?

Wait for reviews? Meh. I've learned that reviews are like measles. I don't know how they're like measles, but they're like measles none-the-less.

We need to make it clear what we want out of our games, yes. Hopefully with the big problems in the last couple releases, the ideal is getting closer to something we'll see in the future.

Preorder? Probably not. They'd really have to entice me to do that (and DLC items/cameos from other games don't cut it). But as for a first day (or week) buy that will probably be so, more so if they decide to release it on the Xbox 360 since I'm a console gamer first.

I've read so much that Bioware have had their last chance with their last two games and the way they treat the fanbase, and yet everyone on this board is acting like none of that happened.
You can count me as one of the people who did not buy ME3, have no intention of buying DA3 unless I seem some major changes, and I'm taking a break from posting in the forums until BioWare actually has something substantial to say about changing their current direction. I don't even care about the ME3 endings, autodialogue is a way more unforgiveable sin in my mind. If I want cinematics, I'll watch a movie, thanks BioWare!

I don't usually care about reviews, but if it reaches the amount and volume of ME3, then I'll be highly wary of buying it.

If you didn't buy ME3 you probably have no idea how true your statement is. ME3 could well have been a movie. Yes, there is the occasional choice, and there are two or three story arcs that vary one of two ways, but otherwise it's more of a movie than a game. I mean theres a gears of war clone in there, but not much of an rpg.

Right now I am not very interested in the new ME game nor the new IP as Casey is in charge of it. DA3 will be out first I think and it will determine if I buy anymore Bioware games.

Who is not going to buy this unless it gets excellent user reviews?

me. I adore Bioware games so much but they really messed the end of ME3 the EC couldn't even save it and I wanted so hard for it to fix it. I liked the EC but I still can't play the game and therefore I won't buy the DLC for ME3.
Bioware burned me so bad by making me care so much and then providing no real way to win in the manner I had become accustomed to that I am still a bit shell shocked about it I mean even Mario ALways beat Bowser and saved Princess Peach from Donkey Kong.
So You can bet every cent you own I will be waiting for user reviews and youtube videos. I will not willingly invest hours of my life into a game that at the end kicks me so hard in the feel goods that I forgot what it feels like to feel good about a game.

My wife and I each pre-ordered a DA2 (she for PC, me for xbox). That sure as hell won't happen again.
She may get it - she enjoyed DA2. If so, I may play hers if it looks good. But buy one for me? Nope.

I know how you feel, I haven't really played a console game since the EC. I will play ME3 multiplayer occasionly with friends but haven't played anything like I used to, for any of my consoles. I have actually started going back to my PC gaming. I just recently upgrade my PC, and have been having fun again.
As to the main question: I will probably buy/pre-order Dragon age 3. I enjoyed Origins and actually liked DA2, there were things that bothered me but over all I enjoyed the game.
