Just a thought I had today between classes,
Two types of staves:
- Magic Staves: What we have now.
- Combat Staves: Reduction to spellpower, but higher (and effective, but doesn't put warriors and rogues out of a job) melee damage (assuming mage combat from DA2 will be the norm from now on).
This could give variety to mage combat styles and roles and possibly be a way to bring back Arcane Warriors that aren't fatigued into oblivion (Maybe special armoured robes (again, with a decent armour rating, but reduction to spellpower)?).
Perhaps with Arcane Warrior there could be a seperate skill tree that would have Combat Stave abilities (perhaps something like the Two-handed sweep but does far less damage in comparison and ups the elemental damage from the staff's type), or just generic melee damage buffs and such.
