I know Dragon Age Inquisition was recently annonced there is little time but I think we all want to have a trailer that is not reserved exclusively to these gentlemen :bandit::bandit:. Bioware gave us a pleasant surprise by making a trailer with femshep and it was just great and a little wink to women like me who play video games.

So I ask Bioware give us a trailer with a female character (the future hero). May be at E3 2013? <3<3

Regards.:wizard:

I actually want the whole DA3 marketing trailers to use a female PC.....doubt that will ever happen.

I don't know why they don't just do one trailer that shows both sexes. They could just transition back and forth.
Male hero jumps up to bring his blade down on the enemy, quick wipe and change of angle, and the female hero brings down the blade.
Female hero gathers energy around her hands and body, quick wipe and a change of angle, and the male hero looses a fireball.
Etc.

I hope it's accompanied by a bunch of morons whining about her hair colour again. That s**t was hilarious.

Female character trailers are needed! By now it should be something that's 100% certain with every new game. They can't back out now when they've just started~

EDIT: Fixed some spelling errors while I could catch them...
Note to self: Don't write too much when you're tired.

Both sexes in one trailer would be fine. There were things going on in the DA2 CGI trailer that had nothing to do with the actual game (army of witches of the wilds...), why would it matter if two versions of the protagonist were seen this time around?

There is no denying the obvious. Women are more likely to play and bioware and one of the few studios who understood his female audience. I only regret that it is not for dragon age 2.

Who gives a frak about trailers anyway?

And seriously? Demands like this? They blow.

Unless they're doing a DA 2 style personal narrative again, I'd rather they have DA:O type trailers that doesn't focus on the hero.

I'm too concerned about the actual game to care little for trailers. Having the trailer exhibit male or female, black or white protagonist, I find irrelevant considering what's at stake (well, at least for me).

Urn of Sacred Ashes trailer was so amazing.
It showed 3 of the companions you could have in your party.

I agree with Maria, my suggestion would be to feature a trailer, where you get to see, perhaps the antagonist and your companions - or other important characters. At the end we see a shady character draw a weapon, we can't tell the gender.

Or they could do both.
ME3 had a maleshep in the trailer and soon after they made a femshep version.

The general public cares about trailers. They sell games. If they were pointless they wouldn't get made, let alone multiple trailers for each title. Having a trailer that shows off a female protagonist could and likely would bring in more female gamers. And seeing as how half of all gamers are women, that seems like a good idea to me.

A Battle between mages and templars and a cloaked figure with the inquisition symbol looking over the battlefield with Flemeth narrating. There you go, first Cinematic trailer ;). For in-game trailers they could switch between male and female in the same trailer. Maybe that male is portrayd as a warrior and female as a mage.

Honestly, I couldn't care less as long as it's consistent. If they go with a female lead for the advertising, fantastic! If they go with a male lead, fantastic! Heck, even a trailer where they show both, making it clear that both are viable playable characters, to properly display that yes, BioWare does let you play whichever character you'd like, would be great.

It's hard to explain why I don't really like the approach which switches the main character's gender every few trailers. I just don't. It lacks consistency in how they show off the game and makes me feel that they're just trying to show how progressive they are instead of actually being fair to both genders.

That being said, the more I think about it the more I actually really like the idea of a strong female lead for their advertising campaign. It has the potential to be just as cool as a male lead, and it would stand out a lot from both the standard flood of generic meatheads in gaming and the traditionally male-focused advertising from other BioWare games.

Perhaps they should have an iconic Rogue, Warrior and Mage. Show off each classes identity.

Don't expect the mage/Templar war to play too much of a role in Inquisition. The leaked descriptions of the story make it pretty clear that that's just the backdrop of the introduction of the game and not the main plot.
