Don't expect the mage/Templar war to play too much of a role in Inquisition. The leaked descriptions of the story make it pretty clear that that's just the backdrop of the introduction of the game and not the main plot.
So there for i can't make a joke how the first cinematic trailer will be with Flemeth foreshadowing the real plot?

They'll pull a ME2 and the first trailer will feature Flemeth explaining the entire story.

If Bioware can save some $ by making only one trailer I'm all in for "Female version".
Yep. That might be a problem... A headgear which hides hair and face would be advisable.thats1evildude wrote...
I hope it's accompanied by a bunch of m_____ whining about her hair colour again. That s**t was hilarious.

A Battle between mages and templars and a cloaked figure with the inquisition symbol looking over the battlefield with Flemeth narrating. There you go, first Cinematic trailer. For in-game trailers they could switch between male and female in the same trailer. Maybe that male is portrayd as a warrior and female as a mage.
Or they could go against the stereotypes and have a male mage and female warrior?
I love your idea, regardless of who is mage or warrior.

Don't worry I'm not the kind of guy who accuses everyone of being sexist/racist/homophobic and anti-disabled.
Either way is cool.
I like the fact that mage staffs look like spears with a glass orb. Now they look like badass warriors who can cast spells.

I don't care if it's a female or male - as long as it's a dwarf.
Don't get me wrong. I love mages. In fact the mage is favourite classes.
However. The great thing about dwalves is that they don't need magic to be badass!
Warrior Dwalves
They grab a two handed axe, they grow a beard and start cleaving through everything.
Rogue Dwalves
They scout ahead Legionaire style, warning the team of danger, then they grab two axes and slash everything.
Epic Dwalven Team:
A Beserker
A Reaver
A Champion
and A Legionaire
No spells and psudo mage warriors (I'm looking at you Templars and Spirit Warriors) required.
What do you call a Dwalf without an axe?
Sorry. I am pretty racist towards the dwalven people. They're fictional, so I have no qualms with being racist towards them.

Yeah, I actually like mage staves and their animations (to a point) in DA2. Now you can bludgeon them to death if they get too close instead of poking them away. Though the behind-the-back animation took some serious flexibilty, especially with Anders or Male Hawke.

But, while fun, CGI marketing trailers are about as useful as nipples on a bull. Even concept art has only limited usefulness IMO. The differences between concept art and the final rendered imagery in-game are so huge that I sometimes wonder how one is linked to the other.
I'd prefer to see real gameplay and in-engine imagery intercut with developers discussing why THEY are excited about the game and why they think WE should be excited too.
CDPR teaser trailers for TW2 were great like that. I showed some of them to my wife and her remark was that it was really neat to see how obviously genuine and excited the CDPR devs were about their game, and how it didn't seem like slick marketing-speak. It made us both more interested to get their game when it was clearly a work of passion for them, not just a product to be marketed. Towards that end, and I offer this with all due respect, I strongly suggest that Bioware refrain from having 'spokespeople' (names withheld) who weren't actively involved in the creation of the game itself speaking to gamers about DA3. It never comes across well. And while I understand the need for messaging in marketing, please don't overuse catch phrases.
Moreover, I want to see more than /just/ combat. Show and tell us about how the conversation system will work. Show and talk about non-combat gameplay: stealth, traps, lock-picking and other skills. Show us the the interface.
Tell us about the people we will meet and journey with. The companion cameo videos/screenshots/background bios for DAO were really great that way.
Give us information about the game itself, not pre-rendered cgi stuff that bears little to no relation to the product you want me to buy from you.

As a bloke, I have no problem with the marketing face of DA3 being the default female PC. It would only be fair.

I agree, just have the PC be a lady in one of them. Simple things like that sort of inclusivenss (whether the character is darker skinned, a woman, or gay) REALLY DO bring in more audiences.

The option to have a female badass protagonist will attract females.
The option to have choice of races and classes will attract many different demographics.
The option to have more dialogue choices, moral choices and meaningful conseqeunces and more class customisation will attract diehard RPG fans.
Faster combat with tough enemies will attract hack and slash gamers.
Lots of exploration, crafting of potions, grenades, traps, arrows, armour and weapons, will attract World of War Craft and Skyrim type gamers.
Enchantment will attract Disney gamers.... Just kidding.
The point I'm trying to make is the way to attract more gamers is by adding more features and more customisation into the game. Customisation allows gamers to play the game how they want, rather than being told "do this", "do that", "do this", "final boss, big cutscene, the end!"
I hear that the Witcher 2 is nearly all of the above.
Perhaps a trailer that displays more of these features would be better.

Wouldn't mind a non-cgi tralier that actually depicts what the game will look like.
Every AAA title released these days is marketed with a blend of CGI trailers and gameplay footage, correct? The thing about the fancy CGI trailers is they're trying to convey the "omg awesome sauce" of the game (while sometimes misrepresenting it). Both should feature an equal number of female protagonists.
