For DA:Inquisition's CGI trailer I'd really love not just a female Inquisitor to be featured, but at least one of the possible male love interests.

In the Blur trailers we had the unnamed human male Warden (along with the two female love options - Morrigan & Leliana) & male mage Hawke (featuring Isabela).

This too. Both Alistair and Anders were HUGELY important to the story of their respective games, but if you were going by the cgi trailers, you wouldn't even know they were party members. It's not the most important thing in the world, but it would be nice to get a glimpse of important characters like those two ahead of the game.

The words: THIS IS YOUR HERO
Followed by a variety of differentt protaganists of various skin tones and genders being shown in a variety of action senes, and highlighting the extra character customization options that fans have been asking for.
Second words: THESE ARE YOUR CHOICES
A variety of scenes that feature the choices that old fans of the series would appreciate as well as old and new fans would love to see. The older choices that impacted the game have to be shown in a way to make sure people know that is not a cannonized choice, but a just a choice that could impact the game.
Third words. WE ARE BIOWARE
Just take the scenes up a notch
Return to Dragon Age Winter 2013
I wouldn't mind them doing another show on SciFy channel to hype the game like they did for Mass Effet 2. I rather see something like that then having to by an app movie on the making of it. That is just me.

Unless they're doing a DA 2 style personal narrative again, I'd rather they have DA:O type trailers that doesn't focus on the hero.
Yeah would like to see this.
However if not then yeah I would really like to see them pick up where ME3 left off.
I mean, from what I can see the ME franchise continues to market both genders ever since taking the plunge with that trailer/fan vote thing so it they have to feel it's worth pursuing? Or maybe now that they have put in the initial leg work to market female Shepard they feel they might as well continue to do so. *shrug*

If not, I am all for a female rogue PC in the commercials, along with 2 of the new companions - a mage and a warrior. That way, you could see how the classes play off of each other in combat and it would hint at the tactical gameplay.

I see both Commander Shepard and Hawke as both male and female. Like, both are cannon, both are the same person, they're just in sort of parallel universes. It would have been cool to show that in one of the ads by switching back and forth between genders ... maybe they could do it with Inquisition if the protagonist is set like that.

Or at least have one sword one (warrior or rogue) and one mage one, and each be a different gender. But, they also have this issue called "money," so I can't expect twenty trillion to span every inclusive option out there (trailer #87: dark skinned gay male mage with dwarven rogue lover)
I would like one badass lady. Just one. To watch over and over and over again.

I still watched artworks and I saw a man and a woman with a hood. It would not be the future hero?
I just hope a good trailer with a woman!

I don't know why they don't just do one trailer that shows both sexes. They could just transition back and forth.
Male hero jumps up to bring his blade down on the enemy, quick wipe and change of angle, and the female hero brings down the blade.
Just to add, it would be nice if they changed the class being displayed in the same way.
Swap the character model between male/female with different armour/clothing appearances according to class being displayed.
Finish with transition/morph between genders/classes and DA3 logo.
Look at DA trailers.
Man, Warrior.
DA2 trailers.
Male Hawke Mage with bloodstreak "warpaint" .
Really think we need an all encompassing trailer for DA3.

Don't recall any KoTOR trailers with a masked Revan.
Bioware is going to show a face, a gender, and a class archetype for the PC, again in a high-quality CGI trailer that will probably be done by Blur studios (I'm pretty sure they did the CGI trailers for DA and DA2, as well as the SW:TOR CGI trailers).
In fact, I can't think of any game trailers that used a gender-neutral masked character.
They're typically all men, with the exception of games that feature or are centred on a female character.

It is not impossible for Bioware. its been 18 months even when he prepares the game so it can do us a good trailer "female" worthy of the name. And why not with other races! Nothing is impossible it is just a matter of willpower!
Change "willpower" with time and money, then you'll be right.

imagine a prisoner being tortured to talk about the inquisitor (implied torture, not seen), and we hear his testimony over a few trailer scenes and music.
example
Captors (not shown, just voice) - Tell us what you know and all this can be over
Prisoner - *spits*
Captors - Very well...again
*shows Bioware presents on a black screen* while we hear the prisoner's scream
Prisoner - alright, alright...i'll tell you what i know, just please...no more.
Captors - Once again, what do you know about the inquisitor?
Prisoner - ["insert genderless description of how awesome and badass the inquisitor is here" while trailer scenes and music play.]

Who gives a frak about trailers anyway?
The general public cares about trailers. They sell games. If they were pointless they wouldn't get made, let alone multiple trailers for each title. Having a trailer that shows off a female protagonist could and likely would bring in more female gamers. And seeing as how half of all gamers are women, that seems like a good idea to me.
The general public is made of morons.
What does a CGI tralier tell you about the quality of the game? Nothing. It may look nice, but it's worthless.
Gameplay speaks far louder.
And the gender of the people in the trailer is utterly irrelvant. It's nothing more than pandering to some peoples sense of entiltement / political agenda.
Anyone interested in the game will know you can select sex anyway.
And if you refuse to play a game because the CGI trailer shows a female and you're male, then seriously.
