 When I equipped my female elf warden with this armor, it looked nothing like the cool armor it`s supposed to. Instead, it was just a plain, dull armor. When I placed it on Alistair, it looked normal. Is it because my character is an elf?

It's a bug as mentioned here in the wiki.

If you're playing the PC, the bug is avoidable.
