As long as a dog can be apart of the game I'll be happy. I kinda like thinking the mabari is still out there romping around with the Warden.

Edit: watching old DA:O vids only reinforces the need of a 'camp' stye area to return. I missed all the extra party interactions in DA2 that weren't really possible since everyone was doing their own thing, and usually alone.

DA2 dog hasd interactions with all companions and Hawke, sometimes more then once.

Why are you using our world to base how long Mabari live? I don't remember reading anything in the lore about how long they actually live...

Anyways, I don't really care if they use my old Dog or new one. I just want to see him return in DA3 and urinate on some fine Orlesian furnishing and listen to those pompous asses get mad about it. Dog needs to interact more in coversations. I want him barking at anyone I don't like and retrieving me items like in DAO! I don't want him to just interacting with me at my house.<3

Barkspawn was the best friend a casteless dwarf girl could ask for. But I'm pretty sure that, if he isn't dead, he's still loyally by my warden's side. I have no desire to see him in DAIII. It would be a pointless fanservice cameo.

If we do get a dog for our DAIII protag, though, maybe we could have a hunting dog, rather than a war hound this time around. Something that's bred to seek out game. Much more suited to an Inquisitor, no?

It  would be nice to have a magical talking sleuth, like in that Disney's movie I don't remember the name, who could tell the color of a shoe, the height, weight, age, mannerisms and profession of its bearer just by sniffing its 3 years old footprint.

actually, that looks like a standard poodle, not a toy poodle.  they're MUCH bigger.  and actually freaking protective aas all get out, so maybe....
