It's in Orlais. Let's get a French surname: Lejoueur. Plain-and-simple and very to-the-point.
(Pronounced kinda like "lezhoower".)
I disagree. 'Lajoueuse' is by far much more to-the-point...

You got me:pinched:.
But reguarding OP's wish to find a name which would sound gender-neutral, neither would actually work.
Much more seriously... The more I think about it, the more I see very objectively that the most universally tasteful and adapted choice for the next main protagonist's name would be : 'Dintonta'.

The name needs to be gender and racial neutral, since we can of course create protagonists of different gender/race combinations, RIGHT?
That's why I didn't like Hawke: it sounded too masculine for a female character.
It was her last name ... I don't understand lol how can a last name be masculine or feminine.
So if a female character was called Savage, Smith, Moore, Jackson, Williams, or Allen you wouldn't think it sounds masculine?

A fixed unisex first name sounds good. I do not want everyone calling them by their last name (its becoming a Bioware cliche). Quinn would be my personal pick, it sounds like a good name for a rogue (may even use it if they let us pick our first name). A nickname would work well too, although nothing so impersonal as "warden". At first I thought "Hawke" was going to be a nickname, and I liked the idea.Melca36 wrote...
