How have people not picked up on the fact that FBWGP is an inferior farming mechanism?

Not that I'm saying FBGCP is the most fun thing ever, but as far as farmers' standards go (and considering I'm still practicing for legit Platinum play), it's pretty exciting. If nothing else, it's better than WGP... WAY better. Why can't people pick up on this?

Show me a vid that proves this and I'll do exclusive runs on it for credit farming.
No, look it up yourself, you have a computer.

Have fun taking twice as long to earn less credits than me, then.

I've tried convincing W/G/P PUGs to try Glacier, but we end up dying quickly and painfully, since people mostly don't seem to get it. I don't know what the difference is, but it does consistently go faster than W/G/P games have gone. Then again, I haven't done platinum matches in a while now...
White is harder for objective waves (aka... the ones that actually count), but Glacier is harder for regular waves. If you have a Destroyer with a Revenant and Piranha, two Demolishers with grenade-spamming Pylons, and anything that can deal large amounts of damage in a large radius (Phoenix, Slayer, Shadow, Quarian Males, or even another Destroyer or Demolisher), you can pretty easily nuke everything, provided you know what you're doing.

Glacier/Cerberus/Platinum is SO much superior, SO much more fun, SO much easier and SO much faster than that damned FBWGP, and yet everyone insists on doing it that way. But WHY? I can't find a single Platinum match that consists of anything but that.

Is that the Double Asari Bubble + Smash + Shockwave setup you are talking about?

Try it for yourself. OP is right, and the evidence is glaringly obvious after one successful run through Glacier.

So far I like 1 Demolisher, 2 Destroyers and a wildcard. I don't think you need 2 Demolishers, but it does work fine.DullahansXMark wrote...

Actually playing Glacier/Cerb/Plat is fun, fast and exciting, but you'll get murdered without a decent team, something that's quite rare in a farming lobby.

Fair enough. Okay, 1 Destroyer, 1 Demolisher, another one of either of those, and a wildcard, and you're set. It's so easy it's insane (consumables required for the Destroyers, however).

Cramming four players into that tiny room on Glacier and spamming high DPS weapons and powers that go through walls for 20 minutes is the most mind numbingly boring thing you can possibly do in this game.
I'm pretty sure camping behind desks and grabbing Hunters and Pyros for 40 minutes* is much worse.
*Yes, that's a long time to play a match, but take into account the type of people who do this, then tell me it's too long.

Ignoring the current bugs with Rio, it is a good Platinum map if you camp the LZ-end and wait for them to come to you. It is less "cheap" in my opinion than hiding in the "panic room" on Glacier.
I'd love to try it, but it's hard enough finding Glacier lobbies. And Rio is even less known than that.

Anyway, for some reason FBWGP seems much easier. Everyone knows what to do. And you can do it in like 25 mins even if some folks are getting sort of carried (or rather, they are freshly promoted).
How long does it take to farm Glacier/P? Not that I'm interested. I am burned out on farming. I usually stick to U/U/G so I can become good one day yo

That was the preferred method before they nerfed smash and Biotic slash. Justicar bubble and a reaver set up BEs and the Manguard and a 4th guy (usually throw user) detonated them. I don't know what the newer methods are. (After about 10 runs I decided farming wasn't my thing)

PUGs on Glacier/P is highly risky. Sometimes people want to just run off and fight alone. One day the host switched us to Glacier/P w/o me realizing it. I was on my Shadow meleeing dudes straight up. Didnt realize it was plat til much later.

I usually stick to UUG myself, but for all the work I end up putting into carrying those, it just isn't worth the reward (I'm running out of Gels by now). At least in Glacier farming, people usually know what to do, and we get it done in 20-25 minutes, without even knowing each other.
