How have people not picked up on the fact that FBWGP is an inferior farming mechanism?

Glacier speedrunning actually requires your team to have some type of skill in the game. This is why FBWGP or FBWUP will be played more.
I'm just talking about camping the middle room here (though I do pop my head out quite a bit... maybe I'm almost ready? lol), I know speedrunning would be faster (obviously), but I'm still not quite at that level yet.

Since I'm "semi-retired" from ME3 i considered making a platinum farming video for glacier to show people how its done. Probably both ways
1) room of shame way
2) Spawn force way
I'd like to use #2, but most PUGs tend to ruin any chance of that happening.
But I played Platinum/Cerberus with Bioware dev(s) and we started every wave behind yellow line and then we rushed to the basement and nuked the spawn.I think that was the fastest Platinum match I played.
You played with devs?!
Lol i showed the devs in person one way of farming platinum on glacier during the earth DLC comicon event. I opened up the eyes of all the FBW people in one quick game. But I didn't do room of shame i did basement.
Since I was playing with a team of 3 other people I didn't know and knew I only had 1-2 shots to beat platinum there I took the easiest way Possible.

Sorry that some of us just aren't as good as some of you video game elites and don't feel like spending real money on packs.
Look on the bright side, we're not clogging up the UUP lobbies, right?
Actually, i want farmers in UUG/P lobbies. They can usually play well as a team without sitting behind a counter and don't run off getting killed as soon as a wave starts and bleed out immediately or get stomped.
And some even help with objectives.

I'm using farming as a form of practice, personally. I'll keep doing it until I get accustomed to the rules of the difficulty, then I'll play it for real. That's what I did with Gold, and that's my main difficulty now.

How fast are your farming sessions usually?
Using the #2 way and dying after wave 10 money i'd say average about 12-13 mins
I can second this. 675000 creds an hour. Says it all...
I shall join in and third this. Spawn rushing on glacier platinum is probably the fastest way. It's a shame that PUGs have no idea how to do it usually.
Hot damn, I wish I was as good as you people
Its funny cause in PUGs even if you are on a mic giving directions, people still seem lost. I cna't tell you how many times i say get behind the yellow lines and they can't do somehting that simple

I find it normally goes slower if people try and spawn rush with you in pug, they have zero idea of how the system works and end up just effing voer the spawns, much easier if they stay in the room of shame and let me go around clearing what spawns they didn't block and then flank what enemies built up in nook/dark room/main lab.
It is worth mentioning that the 12 minute times can be squeezed down to 10 min runs (w/o extraction) with two GIs with Piranhas, an MQI with a Harrier and an MQI with a Piranha. (yes the "cheap", play to win strategy seen in the record speedruns)

It might be a little hard to believe, but some people don't care to take orders from random people. So it's probably not that they don't understand, they're likely just ignoring you.

Sorry if I sounded rude before, I wasn't trying to be. I'm trying to get out of the grinding phase, but it takes some work (I'm not doing it to get loot, I'm doing it to get better).

When I dish out commands and they seem lost I wait until they die repeatedly (I happily revive em too) until they get the hint. I only dish out commands when I play with people who don't seem to be all that high speed though.

To be honest, I find farming fun. Why? Because the people who do it are usually the ones who can't hack it outside of silver mode. They usually ask questions when they notice my Badass Bandito'ness and I happily give out tips and show him how to get shiet done.

Lol I don't bother unles people ask. I don't randomlly do things. If Glacier pops up I'll ask people if they wnat to learn how to speed run it, if they say yes i'll tell them where to go. If they say no then I don't bother. But they'll say yes and still nto be in the right spots somehow.

Farming can be a good way to practice, but if you'd like to play with more people who want to play platinum, try InvaderOne and many of the other N7s on this board. UKStory315 and Undead Hamiltoe. Good players and eager for new blood.

Lol I don't dish out commands. I think you guys have it all wrong. Its not like I go on maps and turn into hackeet and issue orders, but i'll ask people if they want to learn. If they do i'll try and teach. If not I'll rust run around and have fun.

No specific classes needed.
Just make sure to drop 2 rockets per wave.
One at the bottom spawn
One at the side hallway spawn
And seconds into each round, you're already 1/2 way through that wave.
Even if you have no gear and are just starting out (*but already have 5 rockets), just grab 4x human sentinels and spam warp+throw for the remainder of each wave.

I remember InvaderOne replying to one of my threads before (I was considering doing a Gold solo. Never got around to it DX), and he seemed pretty nice. If he's a 360 player, I might ask him to show me the ropes! Thanks for the tip!

Vancouver, Rio, Glacier, White, Hydra, Reactor, Giant
I also like Dagger but haven't quite determined a good point. On Gold we hold the central tower, but that is hard to do on Platinum. I'm also undecided on a good spot on the Benning map.
Jade may be possible as well, if one controls the spawns to hold the upper portion. I think that covers all the maps.
