If you could go back and un-purchase something, what would it be?

This thread isn't at all obvious. No sir.
But more seriously, this is why things come with Reciepts.
I chuckled.
Gaming wise...there's been a couple, but the most recent one I can think of would be Skyrim. I got it on Steam sale for $30, but I've hardly played it.
I'm generally pretty careful with my purchases, but there's defintely been a few meals and movies I regret as well. Sometimes things look a lot better in the pictures then they do right in your mouth.

-Wii
And that would pretty much be it.
There was, but don't expect to see anything of it before 2014.Shepenwepet wrote...
Wasn't there supposed to be Tekken X Street Fighter as well? Did that not happen? I'm a much bigger Tekken fan than SF, so if I bought one of these it'd be TXSF...

Edit - Off video games most regret buying the limited edition Hellraiser Laserdisk. Cost me a fortune, came with signed script and lots of great stuff but still. Actually add in Laserdisk player cost me £450 for region free version. Although did mean I could buy the Cannibal Ferox laser that came with free sick bag

I bought an Epilady once. A lot of women in the 80s did, and I bet we all regretted it.

I'm generally a very careful buyer, and DA2 is the only case of serious buyer's remorse I experienced (I pre-ordered the signature edition), that I can recall anyways.

I know that this is a gaming forum and all, but is everyone's most-regretted purchase really video games?
That shouldn't be surprising. Video games can use up a lot of a person's time. Time that could be spent doing something else. Wouldn't you regret buying a game if you played it for months and then realized you got absolutely nothing out of it? I think most people replying to the topic are thinking of video games only though, not their whole lives.

Why would I play something for months if I hate it? I'm not a masochist.Jozape wrote...

Warhammer Online, Rift, Tera Online. Any of these would do.
Rift has definitely improved since launch.

You may not 'hate' something while you're doing it. But that doesn't mean you can't reflect back on it, and realize that it's something that wasn't really worthwhile in comparison to another thing you could be doing. Or that other people couldn't.

I have about 7 or 8 playthroughs of Mass Effect 1 and 2..... With only 1 playthrough of 3............ I enjoyed each playthrough of the first 2 games as I was playing them... Now looking back I just feel disgusted.

Yeah, we had no reason to play them anymore than other linear shooter.

This was the only game I didn't enjoy but kept playing until the end, hoping it would get better. The environment graphics were nice, but the dialogue and the story was ridiculous, most of the NPC models are repeated numerous times and the gameplay seemed to be rather poorly designed, with the illusion of a semi-open world that forces you down very narrow corridors.
And all the enemies have a very limited range, so if you take two steps backward, they stop following you and you can heal and attack again. As a result, the level design was quite lacking.
Personally, I'm happy with my purchases of DA2 and ME3. There were some significant flaws in DA2, so I didn't enjoy it as much as DA:O, but overall it was a fun game. I also ended up enjoying ME3 more than ME2.

The rest of the meh games I have were already dirt cheap when I bought them, so I don't really care.
Can think of only one movie I really didn't enjoy (Lasciami Entrare) and I don't regret buying any of the books, tv series and comics I have.
