If you could go back and un-purchase something, what would it be?

Love the story, but the combat bores me to tears, making the game almost unplayable for me.

I'd say the same about the original Witcher, though not to the extent of 'unplayable'. Pick a style and weapon, and wait for a little glowy icon.Love the story, but the combat bores me to tears, making the game almost unplayable for me.

Wait it's not what you think. I got ME3 on a 25% off deal the same time I bought DA2 on the same deal at Direct2Drive. Then later the CE was announced and available through Origin, and since Direct2Drive didn't offer refunds and I wanted the CE... I ended up two digital copies of the same game. Not exactly brilliant thinking on my part, but then I didn't hate ME3 like many do.
More in the spirit of the thread though...a non-game hmm probly my old (since replaced) monstrosity of a Dell laptop that wasn't very powerful and far too big to take anywhere with any convenience.

It wasn't because of the change to the franchise or anything critical like that. It was the first time I had to deal with Ubisoft DRM, their really bad PC ports, and a very unfriendly U-Play. I got the game to play co-op with a friend, but every few minutes we always got kicked back to the lobby or the game would just crash. In fact doing pretty much anything meant a crash to the desktop. Died? Crash. Reloading a checkpoint? Crash. Opening a door? Crash. Sneezing? Crash.

For me it is 50 Shades of Grey. I wanted to know what all the fuss was about and also thought if I am going to make fun of it I should at least know what I am talking about. Instead it made me ANGRY. Seriously I have never been so mad at a work of fiction...
Also I once purchased a really disgusting salad that was drowned in Balsamic vinegar.

I found Witcher unplayable, but purely due to my dislike of the character I was stuck playing.
But I wouldn't say I regret purchasing it. I because the reason I bought it was to support what I felt was a nice gesture by the company. I heard they realized the initial release was poorly recieved and rerecorded all the dialogue, fixed lots of things and gave it out for free. I thought that was pretty keen of them, so I bought the upgraded version. So they could make some profit for doing a nice thing.
Shame I didn't like the game, but I felt they should be encouraged.
Anyway I don't waste alot of time regretting purchases. Probably the only thing that comes close is collector editions involving Statues. That always seems like a great thing at the time and afterwards I wonder why I wanted another dust gathering thing.

I read a free chapter on my phone to see what the fuss was about and I felt ripped off. It was a crime against literature, and I hadn't even got to the 'sexy' bits.

I bought a car way back in the day that I really wish I could have 'unbought'. Worst piece of junk I ever owned. I also bought a Blu-ray player a couple years ago that turned out to be really temperamental and I wish I could have un-bought that one too. I did, however replace it with a different one.
ME3, DA2? Nah. Well, I haven't played ME3 yet. But even though I didn't like DA2 I wouldn't un-buy it, although I wouldn't pre-order it again.

ME3 and DA2 could have been better but I feel it was worth the $60 to preorder them.

I've tried to come up with anything else. Been sitting here for maybe 10 min now to come up with anything that gave me the same remorse as buying the CE of ME3. I've done a couple of purchases i somewhat wish i hadn't but they're not anywere near ME3.

The day I found out the girl I was planning to ask to marry me was cheating on me with a meth dealer, I spent $80 on a bracelet she said she wanted just hours before being informed by a mutual friend.
I lost the reciept, but pretty much forgot about the thing till a week later.
