I think its been said that Comics and Books aren't canon. They are just possible outcomes or continuations of arcs and threads.

The comics only occur in a continuity separate from the games. If your story matches that of the comics, that's great. Otherwise, it's just a "what if' story.

Arishok is the new Arishok? Is that anything like "Black is the new black"?

Face it, Sten died if you left him in Lothering.

Here's me hoping people will get as vocal over Sten "surviving" or Sten replacing the Arishok if he lived, as they got over Leliana and Zevran bugging.

One could make that argument... Although I'd point out that the comic has been out a day... so I still don't think it's very cool. Of course, this news was obvious when the first pic of him was released, but arguably pics are easier to avoid. #justsayin
