I love them as much as the next DA fan but to have them just show up and travel or live with the new Hero yet again will be to much.  Just let them have a shop or something in Town.

There is my two cents for the day.

No! They have to live with the Inquisitor or travel with his/her party like before. It's like, tradition and stuff.

Let's hear how Bodahn was butchered by abominations or Templars in lyrium withdrawal instead, forcing Sandal to flee into the Deep Roads to never be seen from again. Sometimes, Grey Wardens hear sobbing coming from deep in the Darkspawn infested tunnels, with the occasional sorrowful yell of "enchantment!".

Dunno. I'd feel kinda sad, thinking about them wandering lost and alone throughout Thedas. I could do with a few less "Enchantment!"s, but I kinda like the idea that Bodahn sleeps easier knowing that if something were to happen to him, Sandal would be looked after.

I think most of the potential humour of the pairing has been exhausted in DA2, so a brief cameo would be better.

I'd like them at my home base, though more for convenience than anything else.

I think they should stay, maybe to mix things up Bodahn could bring a lady friend along.

EDIT:  Wait, didn't Bodahn say his wife was alive in Orzammar?

I think so he was forced to the surface for selling things pillaged from the deep roads or something like that.

Ah, not to be disparaging but didn't it get established that Sandal was going to Orlais to work for the Empress because Bodahn was getting old - with the idea that he was about to die?

So Sandal might possibly be available to travel with your party, but I think its the old dirt nap time for dear old dad...

Noooo they can't kill off Bodahn! It's against all that is right and just in the world!

... Now I'm dreading a Bambi/Simba moment for poor old Sandal. :-(

I thought he said Denerim. But then...she probably wouldn't be alive. Considering the Final Battle in Origins.

I wish they would both go away. Don't like or hate them...just...urgh. Be somewhere not near my main character.

I like them - but they tried to hard in DA2.

Ease them back a notch.

I actually agree with the OP. Giving Sandal and even Bodan a more permanent set up, like at the court, or at a shop, would make a lot more sense. They can settle down. They've lived in a campsite with the Warden, and as the servants of Hawke. These guys deserve to have their own home and their own shop. Furthermore, I do think it would be a bit much if these npcs were guaranteed roommates for every protagonist in the DA series.

I need sandal near for enchantment purposes.I have no time to fly across town just to add runes to my weapon and armor.I disagree with this request.

Sandal needs to be around so we can get the resolution to what he said in DA2 about the magic coming back.

Sandel went from being sweet in DA:O to being downright creepy in DA2. I predict he will be the main enemy in DA3 being controlled by his true mother, Flemeth.

You can put those two cents back in your pocket because I don't want them!

I can't believe somebody would suggest this! I think Sandal should be a companion I can take into combat based on how he handled himself in the Deep Roads in DA2.
