This was an Idea already touched upon in dragon age 2 with hawke being able to make feynriel tranquil in the fade.I think it's only appropriate that if we're able to take one side or the other in Da3, we get access to all their perks as well.

Agree? =]

If it gives us extra options then sure, I'm game.

Sure. T'would give players additional options and improve replayability.
Also, Templars > Mages, so yes. :P

Depends who they're working for and what sort of authority they exercise.

(Though with the events of Asunder wouldn't it make more sense to just kill them?)

Killing them is such a waste tho...Making them tranquil ensures they're no longer a threat and also frees up their thought processes to be more effective at manual labor, secretary work , enchanting templar armor and weaponry. The tranquil make indispensable human resources.

I think so. I don't think it should happen left and right, but it would be an interesting mechanic.

Sure. I'd probably never do it except in an evil or obsessively anti-mage run, but the option could be cool

Actually, given the events of Asunder, I'd be more interested in seeing what's involved in reversing the process.

So many people want to play the game differently this is good! I want the chance to play as a religious extremist mage whom is against the circle. That would be interesting

And the guilt when finding out that the mage was innocent of whatever "crime"? Yes.

Seriously. This is a great plot device to use just for that alone. All known signs point to the mage, but the player missed some clues and performed the rite on an innocent person.

Love it, gives some oomph for people playing a sane PC character, or would allow you to wallow in evil if you did it without caring about the mage's innocence.

The emotional depth of such a choice is a huge plus.

As a pro-templar specific quest, I am all for this. Granted, I'll be siding with the mages most if not all the time.

No.

That makes as much sense as lawyers arresting people.

Why not just kill them?

But as for being able to invoke the rite of tranquility. I see no reason not to allow it.

Tranquility is no longer the solution, as it now can be reversed. No, to contain the threat of mages, only one option is left to us: we must put them all to the sword. It's the only way to be sure.

Nope. I want a neutral character. I have no interest in playing a prejudiced zealot.

No because there isn't any Goverment authority or Chruch authority. Come to think of it why does the church have the right to make someone tranquil? It should be the Government, no?

Why would a... "efficient" mage-inquisitor not want to invoke the right under certain circumstances as well?
