In no particular order:

  • Recycled environments.
  • The enemy's body exploding when killed by a dagger, sword, etc.
  • Choices having no considerable consequences.
  • Rogues and/or Warriors being able to teleport without explicit magical support (i.e Backstab skill from DA2).
  • Fetch quests.

1) All bisexual romance options/awkward forced gay momments
2) lack of game-changing origin stories
3) lame ass choice a or choice b dynamic
4) no race selection (that arent super game-changing)
5) bad writing (characters/storeis/dialogue)

6) NO MOTHERTRUCKIN' CLOSURE ON ALL OF THE UNANSWERED PLOT LINES. I NEED TO KNOW MY WARDEN AND MORRIGAN ARE HAPPILY RAISING THEIR DEMON CHILD N' STUFF.

1) A fixed human protagonist. Especially of the noble variety. :x

2) Being forced to take one side in any argument or debate.

3) Being railroaded into one or two courses of action when other options are clearly available but not refuted.

4) Depicting elves as lazy ne'er-do-wells that only live in prejudice and poverty because they brought it on themselves. Seriously BioWare, that depiction in DA2 was disgusting and I never want to see it in another game again.

5) Auto-dialogue or statements made by the PC not sanctioned by the gamer. (For example, Anders telling Hawke at the end of a quest not to mention blood magic, only for the first thing Hawke to say when they report back to the templar is "there were blood mages." REALLY? Or Hawke remarking, "She's with the Maker now," upon Leandra's death. NO! No deciding what the player character says or believes without player input! Bad BioWare!)

All of this is subjective, of course. :innocent:

3 1. Lame sidequests.
DA2 sidequests were particularly horrible, you found something quest-related, you saw marker on the map and handed it to some random guy - great, you just finished a quest!
ME3 sidequests were bad too, you just heard various conversations, you got update in the awful quest log, then you scanned planets in the hope that it would get you needed.

Yes, completely agree. Those "reverse FedEx" quests did not even feel like quests, and I don't imagine they enhanced anyone's enjoyment of the game.

2. Junk loot items that don't appear in the game world, cannot be used for crafting and serve no purpose in the game.

3. Junk books that you cannot read

4. Crafting as a kind of shop instead of a viable playing style

5. Recycled or uninspired linear level environments

I agree with the list, OP. I would also like to add:
  • auto dialogue (especially if you only talk to each character ONCE every other year...doesn't make sense, especially if the character is romanced)
  • lack of dwarf romance
  • placing companions soo far apart from each other that you have  to go to multiple loading screens just to say "hi" to each other:pinched:
  • being forced to play human and no other race
  • being stuck in one city
  • romance glitches (or glitches in general) from previous games and not fixing them (*cough* Zevran  in DA2 *cough*)
Yes, I know that's 6 things. But to be fair, I was going to post more...

I'm sorry to say, but there's a high chance that  multiplayer (co-op at least) is going to be in DA3 (unless the creators have enough sense to take it out by release).

1. Past romancable companions becoming companions in DA3
2. Hundreds of pointless fetch quests
3. Kill off my Warden or Hawke
4. Wave after wave of enemies
5. Less interaction with the companions/LI's

It's called cutting corners and it would be unforgivable to see them in a third game in a row. Also these quests look stupid and awkward.

Agreed with both. Inability to talk to companions wherever you want was especially annoying.

1. Terrible filler sidequests.
2. Horrible crafting system.
3. Repeated environments/no areas to explore
4. Very little if any meaningful C&C, Bioware look at Alpha Protocol for inspiration
5. Bad writing/bad use of framed narrative again look at Alpha Protocol for ideas

I would think so. It was VERY annoying having to go through multiple loadscreens just to talk to a companion.

i didn't mind in da2 (actually liked it because it made them looking like if they were living their life) but hated it in me2,  lost alone in every corner of the ship for no reasons

Mine are mostly what others are saying.

My 5...

Recyled Enviorments
Waves, less killing overall, just felt weird to be putting 20-30 bodies down on the streets of kirkwall.
Less flashy moves...
No exploding bodies
Wraping the the story...

oh, one more - slower combat. Maybe not to Origins level but maybe half way between the two.

More threads like this.

There was this exact thread before and it got locked....i really hope they leave it up this time - knowing where DA2 went wrong is vital in doing DA3 right.

Has there....I dont check the forums much, just come back when i heard the 3rd game announced. The reason for locking was "Lets keep it positive" or something like that.

1) Human preimposted protagonist and background (It's not Deus Ex! it's Dragon Age! It's so difficult to understand?!)

2) Recicled dungeon (but I think that's obvious)

3) Auto dialogue.I can accept it in ME, even if it's already hard to accept, but that's DA! and speak only once a year with the companion. I have the right to chat with them every time I want! and everywhere! not just at home!

4) Mage that even if you help them escape templar, they let themself being catch by them, and thentried to kill you to "get revenge". WTF!?! If I help some one, I want he to recognizise that, and be grateful! not became crazy just so you had to fight them!

5) the absurd crafting thing. I find a plant and I continue to use only that little plant for seven years?! maching infinite potions?! that's wrong...

1. Multiplayer
2. Fetch quests (especially if they involve eavesdropping or telepathic abilities of some kind) and pointless side quests
3. No/meaningless consequences to our choices
4. Recycled areas and textures
5. Boring main story with boring characters and a terrible ending (not really worried about this, but needs to be mentioned)

edit: Special mention 6. Auto-dialogue
