I'd say the community is more split now than before. Originally I'd say 80-90% of the fanbase hated the endings, but now its closer to 50/50. Plus the people who REALLY hated the endings lost most of the steam for it and just left. Well, that is also true of a lot of people that said they were ok with the endings with the EC-many said they were now done with ME because it had more of an ending, but not a good one.  They didn't hate it, but hated what BW did to the game and the endings, especially.

I'd say the real question is how many are here that really love the endings?  I've never ever felt or seen that people just truly love them.  Most often people have said they're better, but not what they hoped for as endings to ME.

ME3 pretty much killed Bioware for me. Before that game I bought every BW game (CE if possible) at launch, as well as every piece of DLC. Now I'm feeling completely apathetic toward ME3's dlc, DA3, or any other projects they may be working on. I basically just don't give a **** anymore.

But that's just me.

I still love the endings as much as I did when I first heard about them from the leaks. Watching the butthurt from those who were only in it for the power fantasy and space waifu/manfus and those Paragon types that didn't care that Renegades were screwed over(like with ME2)was glorious.

Regarding your signature, a real fan supports a company or studio despite not liking something. If your done because you did not like the last 10 minutes of ME trilogy I do not think you fit that criteria. A real fan supports in the good and the bad not just when going well. If don't support them when do things do not enjoy much then I call that a marriage of convenience (imho). Sort of as long as do what I want I will support you kind of stance, just a customer as opposed to a real fan.

so me buying all the games they made even the old republic which i like or the fact that i will buy dragon age 3 since that is nothing to do with mass effect makes me not a bioware fan

Oh yeez, not the whole real/true fans are this and do that, everyone here is a fan, no matter if they are dissapointed to what it's come down too, heck if they weren't a fan they would have left and not continued playing it or coming on here to either voice their discontent over the ending of a series that they thought was amazing, and got them emotionally involved, still i get some people do like the endings and to them it must seem like pointless whining and they pretty much don't seem like a fan, when they really might have gotten too attached to playing the Hero or the characters.

You say you won't buy any ME title or DLC yet for all you know at this stage ME4 could be the greatest RPG ever made.

who are you to say who is or is not a fan of BIOWARE I love mass effect 1 and 2 but the ending was bad I don't like and I don't have to

I also have kotor on xbox and pc I have baldur's gate 1 and 2 as well

do you think those icons below that show I have dragon age 1 and 2 on pc ps3 and xbox 360 not show how much of my money bioware get and will still get

It really is a silly question. If someone's opinion on the ending was ever going to change, it was only going to be with the EC.

So I presume you have been away from the forums since before the EC release.

Yes, people still hate it. The EC was what people feared it would be after all. Same crappy endings with a cherry on top. Though I do appreciate the work BioWare did on it. They knew that it wouldn't fix the problem.

I think everyone is just hoping that they have something *bigger* planned for their dlc's and/or Mass Effect 4 to restore the great name that was Mass Effect.

Worse case scenario: No dlc changes anything to do with the endings. Mass Effect 4 is a prequel.

I have seen many people say they hate Bioware because of the ending. As for blue I was pointing out the the irony of his or her signature deciding who is and is not a 'real' fan which is why I overused the word 'real' for effect relating to her comment about never buying anything else regarding ME even though just because do not like the ending does not mean their DLC or new ME titles would not be good.

Okay, apparently I have to explain the analogy.

A true fan would not simply support a studio no matter what they do. If the studio they are a fan of is doing something they perceive as stupid they should let them know about it lest the studio go into a downward spiral of mediocrity. If all a studio hears is "you're perfect, you're doing awesome, everything you make is flawless" then they will get lazier and lazier and never improve.

Hence the comparison to how a true friend would not simple allow their friends to do stupid **** that could **** up their lives.

TBH, regardless of whether blueumi feels s/he is done or not. She wouldn't still be here if she wasn't a fan of the Mass Effect universe. Being a fan of Mass Effect and being a fan of BioWare can be two very different things, it's a fine line. But there is a difference. For example, people like you and Brovikk are fans of BioWare first. Then whatever they produce you judge accordingly. Other people are fans of Mass Effect first, and it was that which lead them to become fans of BioWare also.

I believe it's the latter that are more inclined to speak their opinion.

Regardless, all I ever see you do is trying to wind people up and incite controversy, If you were an anti-ender, you would have been perma-banned long ago.
