Completely undermines everything that's gone before it.

OMG you didn't enjoy DA2!? Nup, that's it. You're not a true fan, you should probably go...
Srsly though, maybe people wouldn't be interested because it's not about just "not liking" synthesis. It's about Synthesis being the total opposite of what we are taught is so important in the MEverse.
Ever since the first mission in ME1 where we had a Turian Spectre on board and Pressly thought it wasn't good because he's an alien on an alliance ship.
Sure, you have the choice to be a racist dick and go the pro-human route in ME1. But in ME2 you learn that to succeed you have to rely on people of other species and attain a unity through diversity. With two of these friends being synthetic themselves.
Synthesis craps on all of that and says that without it we are imperfect and that to truly evolve we must all become the same. That's bull****. So I couldn't blame some people if they feel they'd give up on ME for changing it's theme so drastically.
I picked control, I do not buy into this synthesis is canon idiology. I actually dislike ME2 more than ME1 and ME3. I was forced to work with a racist organisation with no free will regarding mission objectives until the last 30 seconds of the game in keeping or destroying the base. That game was a million times more character immersion breaking that ME3 ending ever was to me. Yet I did not rule out ME3 and will not rule out any ME game just like won't rule out any DA title.
In my mind I had to headcanon the principle that Miranda did in fact implant that control chip into my Shepard. I however respected Biowares right to tell the story they wanted to tell. The story is the one element I will never demand they change...combat mechanics, gameplay elements or features and such I will mention improving upon between each new game but story is the one thing that I think should be left to the creators and while I may like it or dislike it; it s the one thing I will not ask to be altered or demand changed at any time.

Mass Effect still deserves a better ending.
People are starting to get banned for this sort of mentality.

You just gotta know that there's at least one or two sadistic Bioware employees probably laughing their asses off right about now!Jade8aby88 wrote...
lol the only one I've become to hate is "an ending once and for all" I honestly cannot listen to it without getting angry.
The first time I played the game I got very emotional at this music. Now when I play.. All I think of is BioWare sitting back going "FEEL SAD!!"
That just makes me angry now.

Hmmm... then so be it, I guess. I really think Mass Effect deserves to be remembered for better things. I wonder if it's even weird for them to ban people for respecting their work more than they themselves do.

Play ME1, enjoy it? Doesn't matter, you're still going to get that BS ending.
Play ME2, enjoy it? Doesn't matter, you're still going to get that BS ending.
Play ME3, enjoying it? Doesn't matter, we're about to pull this clusterf*ck of an ending out of our a**es on you.
ME1, ME2 and the majority of ME3 are a journey. The end of ME3 is the destination. In the end, just as you're about to arrive, you get diverted to BS-land. Consequently you wonder if the journey was even worth it in the first place.

Quite how I feel too. Althought there were some (very few) good things about the game.vitaro86 wrote...
Not just the endings, I hate the whole conception of ME3.

If people get banned for criticising the ending then that should tell you everything you need to know about BW.

I don't hate ME3 or the endings. I feel let down and disappointed it didn't live up to my expectations (hopes?), but there's plenty still to enjoy with the game, and I enjoy discussing, critiquing and analysing the endings we were given, even if I didn't find them satisfying.

For me it varies. Some days I'm at peace with the ending, some days the old butthurt just aches again.
[Urge to rage rising]I'm glad they added the refusal. It's my canon ending and one I can live with.
[Urge to rage getting stronger] But **** you Bioware for making such a lazy job with it! It could've been so much more awesome with some extra footage of everyone fighting to the bitter end and dying rather than becoming butt-monkeys for the reapers. And you could've just shut up about the next cycle and them using the crucible. You just had to smear the ending even more for everyone, didn't you.
