Anyway, my question is about Dalish - why could not they claim some land? The Wilds sounds like it belongs to no one, and sure there are many free territories out there.

The Chasind live in the Wilds. But that's not really relevant to the question of why the Dalish don't settle down. They could. They choose not to because it's harder to hit a moving target. They view themselves as the last vestige of the elvhen, and they take the burden of preserving what fragments are left of elvish culture upon themselves. If they settle down anywhere and they become the target of the humans living nearby, or a Blight rises under their feet, or there's some natural disaster, then elvish culture would be completely lost.

Was Fergus Cousland deliberately kept in the Wilds all that time?

Is there any reason he survived that we don't know about yet?

The Doctor took him into the TARDIS, spent a year with him in God knows where, then brought him back and wiped his memory.

This is a great thread indeed! Thank you as well, Mary and David!

If it is possible to answer...will we ever be able to *Spoiler* rescue the elven slaves taken from the Denerim alienage?  Or find out what has become of them?

But to ask a question to the devs that I have been wondering about.

Are Eleanor Cousland and Leandra Amell somehow related to each other since they both have the same voice actress and they do look alot like each other in my honest opinion!

I know the Qun doesn't let kossith breed with the other races, but does it disallow those races to breed together? Human/dwarf or dwarf/elf or elf/human?

And is it possible for kossith to have children with the other races, physically at least even if they wouldn't choose to?

Are we going to find out what Stroud and his Grey Warden colleagues' mission was in Kirkwall?

This question might have been asked before.

On the Dalish.

1. Isn't Marethari going against the ways of her people by rejecting the Eluvian? Dalish are supposed to discover and preserve any of their history. Even if it is dangerous.

2. Isn't Marethari being hypocritical towards Merril for using blood magic? In the Dalish Origin, it is implied that Marethari herself used blood magic to heal the Warden(since the Taint is in the blood.) Not to mention she doesn't like Merrill consorting with Demons(okay, I get why that is bad,) but she herself obeys the will of Asha'Bellenar

3. What is it about Flemeth that makes the Dalish obey her?

4. Are we ever going to see the Dalish frolic?

Dwarves aren't barred from the Fade completely. They're just not naturally able to enter it. They can however be unnaturally pulled into it by outside forces, like the Sloth Demon or The First did.

They're still linked to it, but something is basically blocking them from accessing it. They still dream though. They just dream like we do as opposed to how Humans, Elves, and Kossith do in Thedas -- meaning they go to the Fade for their dreams.

Actually, Marethari used a Keeper type of healing magic to combat the Taint in Mahariel. It was normal magic that was able to keep him alive. She will also state to Mahariel -- if Mahariel asks what he should do if he gets sick again -- that Merrill knows these same arts Marethari knows.

Merrill in DAII used blood magic to amplify the magic she already knew -- something she could've done with lyrium, or with Marethari had the Keeper agreed to help* -- to cleanse the shard of its corruption.

*Merrill states that she had gone to Marethari first before going to the Demon to learn how to use blood magic. Marethari refused to help, and left with no alternative -- as there was no lyrium supply she could safely acquire -- she had to use her own blood to amplify her power.

That's not the same book.

In Witch Hunt, Morrigan stole an Elvish tome about the Eluvians from a Dalish clan. She left it for them to reclaim since she didn't need it anymore.

In Dragon Age 2, the book Cassandra has is about Hawke. The narrative cinematics between acts show that. Cassandra wanted to know what was true.

This, I want to know the answer to this one too. Whatever it was it seemed awefully important.

In DA2, "the Void" is used by Andrastians to refer to a place that seems to be the Andrastian equivalent of Hell or the Netherworld. (e.g. "Void take you!"). I found this interesting when considering that Caridin's device for making golems is called the Anvil of the Void.

My question is this: did Caridin name the Anvil, or was it someone else? And why did whoever named it call it the Anvil of the Void?

I sent this in an email to bioware:

I watched a few vids about DA3 and there were some unanswered questions I had. First, will it be available on the xbox 360? There are rumors about next gen systems in the works by Sony and Microsoft, so naturally it is a concern to me. The next question is that if it is next gen, will we still be able to transfer over our saved game data from the x360 games? Also, if it is available on X360 AND the next gen Xbox, will we be able to transfer the data over to the next gen console?

(End email)

I don't know if these points have been addressed yet, so I figured I'd post them here to see what others think of them. Personally, I think it would be pretty cool if the rumors of a next gen console were true, as long as I get to transfer over characters.

(Possible spoilers)
Naturally, I have played Dragon Age Origins, awakening, and dragon age 2 many times and have many characters I can transfer over, but my favorite is my human mage warden who fell in love with Morrigon, and willingly conceived the child with her, but promised he'd find her again. He transferred into awakening, then into Golems of Amgurak, and finally into Witch Hunt where he reunited with Morrigan and left with her through the aluvean.

That character background was loaded into Dragon age 2, in which I played a female mage Hawke, If your DA:O Warden was a Human Mage, you eventually learn that the warden was your playable characters cousin, so naturally I like that.

Anyway, my character was a spirit healer/Shapeshifter in Origins, and Spirit Healer/Keeper in DA2, and my Dragon Age two female mages love interest was Sebastian, but be sorta flew the coup on me when she couldn't bear to kill Anders, but anyway, I would love to use this game data into Dragon Age 3 and to see if by playing as a mage again the main character there will be connected to the previous two characters. If the main character is Morrigan's child, then that would be ideal for my purposes, lol, I mean that would make it the wardens son/daughter, but the problem with that is that not everyone played Origins the same way I did, so it probably wouldn't work, but it would be interesting to see if the human mage theme will carry on where they all end up connected to each other.

I actually think ideally Dragon Age 3 will be released on both this generation and the next gen console, and we can use memory cards or jump drives to transfer 360 saved data to the next gen consoles and they'll work to carry on our saved data from the earlier generation games, and Dragon age 4 would be exclusive to the next gen consoles, but it will still let us transfer character details forward from Dragon age three, and if we had dragon age three on the 360 or the PS3, we could use the memory card/jump drive trick to transfer/upload our data. This way there would not be any pressure to hurry out and buy the next gen consoles, lol. We could wait for the prices to drop a bit and still get the full dragon age experience. And those that wanted to wait in line for days on end and try to get the actual next gen console, well, they could do that, and maybe whatever DLC would be released could be available first to the Next Gen consoles, but it could eventually be released to the PS3 and X360 too, just with a delay, so that the next gen people get the full experience sooner. Also, I am hoping for Dragon age 3 to be a 3 or 4 disk game, lol, I love those.

Opinions?

Characters I'd like to see make a return appearance what may not have been mentioned already:

Jowen
Nathaniel
Anders
Justice
Grey Warden Bethany/Carver

They could be optional quests that only appear if you made certain choices in the earlier games.
