what i is hoping to find in Da3 is that every time you open perhaps a note or a special letter is that you hear the person who wrote speak.
that way you get more involved emotionley, because if you read normaly a letter or a note then you read it casually, you dont understand the feeling the letter is trying to create.
for example: if you are in are in the deep roads in a smal cave that is dark and narrow, you might find a letter and read it and the player will hear the writer speak in a terrified, heavy breathing voice.
is it possible to do this for DA3
Request for DA3. speaking journal index

Nice idea. Hope they see it and take it under consideration.

Oh lord no. That is an awful lot of time and money going into a feature that I will likely despise. I don't read codex entries as it is, I certainly don't want them read out to me.
I would hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, HATE voiceovers distracting me from my current tasks and obscuring the actually interesting and funny banter between my companions.
Hate. Hate hate hate.

I'd rather that amount of voice work would be spent on giving the player alternate voices.

No thanks. That seems like an odd and unnecessary thing to add to the third game of a series. I'm perfectly happy doing that thing called "reading", and would rather see that time/$ spent elsewhere.

No, would be a waste of VO-zotz if you ask me.

Eh, I'd rather they focus on other things.
There was a lot wrong with the codex and journal in DA2, that I want them to fix them before adding in fluff.

It's an interesting idea. I agree that it might not be practical or an efficient use of resources. However, when reading the letters from Bethany or Carver, even old Barlin, it would have been nice to hear their voice in those instances. A connection exists between you and them and makes it more feasible that you would hear their voice when you read their letters.
Also, I want the transcripts of your conversations back in the codex.

They did it in Mass Effect. Why not Dragon Effect?

I rather they make more banters or real conversations.
