I've been playing ME3 MP since the first release of the demo, and I've never once heard anyone speak in an MP match. I've tried everything to get my own mic to work, but no matter what I do, the mic icon under my name in an MP lobby is always red. So as far as I know, it doesn't work. Judging from a good number of forum posts I've seen, this seems to be a problem a lot of PC players have been having.

Will this ever get fixed? ME3 feels very lonely for a co-operative MP game.

did you adjust the mic settings on the option menu. Switch voice chat to always on . That way, even if you don't have a mic, you can still hear chatter.

try uninstalling your sound driver and getting the latest version, if your running win7 and have a creative sound card theres a good chance it just wont work properly also things ot check are cable connection inside the pc, test the mic on another machine/ use one you know works (some are just dodgy from new) if you cna hear the audio in the games then the sound is working unless you have switched it off in the game options menu.

bit difficult to try trouble shooting the problem though wihtout knowing what os/mobo/sound card/headset/etc etc your using, and of course if you have ptt enabled but didnt map the keys over or have mic swithced off (iirc it is by default in windows) which maps across to the game chat, and lastly theres possible firewall issues, i just told mine ot allow everythign to do wiht origin/me3 and not to monitor it, yet i still have sound bugs all the time><
