Okay first off, hello to all!

Now to the main part of why i am here!

EA seem to no longer have any customer service options available all are blanked out and have been for weeks now, so i'm not gonna be getting any help from them.

Here's the thing, i have been unlucky enough to encounter the "ready to install - installing - ready to install" bug, ive tried the various fixes like installing without internet from disk, (though now it gets 100% off the disk it still doesnt install, used to crash at 80%) ive tried everything right through to the Registry edit, so im now at a complete loss as the install loop is still prevailing and ive read through here and the fixes that have worked for pretty much everyone else don't work for me :(

I run 32bit Vista, and had to have the Registry file edited to change it from the x64 program files, though im not sure it was done properly and heck i aint doing it myself as i have no experience in editing registry files at all.

So does anyone have any ideas? i've been trying now for a whole 4-5 weeks to get ME3 to install :(

you have ot run the installer as administrator, oh and you have ot install origin using the runas admin option,

hopefully your using uac and know exactly what i just said, if not you have ot enable uac, then right click the instal file, on the disk, select run as admin (its got a blue n yellow shield icon) if you need instructions on using uac then your best bet is google for it i moved on from vista a long time ago so my memory is a bit rusty.

have you tried doing a clean boot on vista ?

run msconfig.exe click the services tab, click the box at the bottom to hide all the ms stuff then uncheck all the boxes on there. then restart the pc, then try running the install using the run as admin comand,

i'll be totally honest though vista was so buggy that i reversed to xp untill 7 came out then i grabbed the 64bit version and just clean installed everything.

oh stupid question time;

1) you are installing origin first and updateing that completly signing in wiht your bsn credentials and then attempting ot install me3 correct ?

2) you dont have an nvidia 8 series gfx card installed and you do have hte latest physx software installed right?

even if its an amd card you still need ot get the physx installed off the nvida website for some games,

if i notice anyonther things to ask tomorrow i will post back, hopefully we can figure this out without resorting ot regedit, oh and ea support is available through origin so unless you have that installed and have a game associated with it you probably wont be able ot get in touch with ea support.

**EDITED TO ADD**

oh yeah and i know this is probably a really dumb question but after installing origin you are allowing it through your firewall wiht full access? and your firewall is set to make you choose the correct action(s) when a program wants internet access ?

might seam stupid but if you turn off the firewall wiht vista it will often use the windoz built in one's values and still block internet access, its a major bug wiht vista 32bit that micro****e never got round ot fixing because " it is meant to default to being secure by design" funny enough win7 is similar but different and when you turn off the firewall it actually is turned off :)
