this might sound crazy but here goes...

i had an idea for a type of sidequest that would IMO be awesome.

Orlais being the land of extravagant hats and stinky cheeses, would also be i presume home to a Grand Theater.
Now imagine if you will that you had a sidequest in which you help the theater's owner (for money, building up fame, whatever) and in the end you get to see plays that depict stories like "siege harder" from Varric, parodies inspired from monty python and stuff like the Redcliffe rescue, now with more exaggerated orlesian accents along with BSN inspired easter eggs.

...or maybe i'm just crazy afterall.

That sounds fun!
Id like my PC to be IN the play XD Optional of course. And being able to have the option to ruin it if you want to be a jerk.

another play that could be hilarious:

The return of Sir Roderick Ponce Von Fontlebottom the Magnificent Bastard
(A play showing Sir Roderick describing his experience in far off lands)

Kinda like in Jade Empire, where you had to stand in for one of the actors and you could purposely sabotage the whole thing.

(It was more fun if you played as a guy, because then you had to dress in drag for the lead role.)

YES! And a good excuse to get John Cleese involved!

As long as the quest gives you the option to totally ruin said play.
And also as long as the director then says, "Y U B TROLLIN ME?"

that does sound fun....I like the idea of performing one of the warden's achievements from Origins.

Only if we had the option of performing the play 'Marauder - The Story of a Man and his Shield.'

I'd like the public to make incredulous comments and conspiracy theories about a particularly outrageous ending:

"Wait, was this all a dream?" , "The Archdemon had him indoctrinated!", "Who the hell was that kid, anyway?"

on one of the stage plays it would be so funny if instead of a knight in shining armor on a horse chariot it shows a dwarf on a mabari chariot.

This actually sounds like a lot of fun. It also reminds me of the running ME joke of the all-Elcor Hamlet production. XD

+1000 for the Jade Empire reference. I always wanted to see Roderick again, LOL

I approve and I'm all for the PC being forced to stand in for someone; I love quests like that!

another vision from this awesome feverish daydream....

Peter Dinklage as the voice of the Grand Theater owner.

Absolutely great idea!
I love such things, in every game I stop and watch/listen to random people talking/singing and Easter Eggs are always a good thing

Absolutely
Plus it would make the game 3 times as long for me since I'd probably have a hard time leaving that place :P

 or how about this?
as you get famous through your deeds in DA3, maybe show plays of key events in DA3 in a funny way (think of something like ... this, *just found this short clip, not the whole thing*  )

FFVII did it. Why not Dragon Age 3?

:)

Like in Ultima VII where you audition to play yourself, the Avatar, in a play but are rejected for not being good enough. (And you have to hire a costume.)

Also. There was a pretty cool little play in The Carrion Birds mod for DA:O. Regarding the events at the end of DA:O, if I recall correctly ... (totally worth a look.)

"Parodies inspired from monty python and stuff" doesn't exactly fill me with confidence that you've thought this through...

Also no to BSN-related easter eggs. Gross.

Would definitely pay for this DLC! Could possibly tie in to stories of the newly deceased Evet and his Marauders?

Only if Biff the Understudy will be in it.
