Hmm Positivity ..

Well enjoyed DA1 (super game, perfect battlecontrol.. abit chatty with Side kicks), enjoyed DA2 (great game, battle control not the greatest, but got used to it..not enough chat with side kicks.. reuse of areas a tad boring) once i got over it not being about the Commander and took the game as a separate  entity.

Not sure I will play the 3rd, late next year .. long time for an old peep like me,lol.

Why you ask, once again its not about the Commander or Hawke.. secondus I have no real interest in being an Inquisitor because I just don`t think Mages should be controlled the way they are in DA, monitored yes.. but shut away for life , having every aspect of their lives controlled, no. To play a character you have feel for them, be able to put yourself in that role..Will just have to keep an eye out on press releases,, maybe be able to change the way Mages are dealt with, within the game.. Bio always the one for choices.

A year is along time.. We will see :D ... I am going to think positive! (which is a tad hard for a pessimist :D ).

Peeps wil ask what was the point of this post, Do not ask me.. was just in one of those moods ...

Eh, it's not that long. There will be plenty of other good games coming out between now and when it will be released that will help wile away the time.

I love the Inquisitor idea. I hope they pull it off and am quite enthused about the project.

The longer the development cycle they can get away with, the better in my opinion. Short dev cycles mean they have to cut out content due to simply running out of time. I'd imagine there would have been fewer reused environments in DA2 if they'd had more time to work on it. Besides, the year will fly by before any of us realize it anyway.

Dragon Age Origins took 5/6 years to make.
DA2 took 2 (?)

I want DA3 to be decent. Im willing to wait as long as possible for a game that will be satisfying.

DA2 took 11 months or 18 months depending on how you count it.

the Inquisition is unlikely to have anything to do with persecuting mages OP...otherwise that would prevent you, the main character, from actually being a mage with any sort of credibility.

it's more likely the inquisition is like a small investigative team that sets out to find out who is behind all the bull**** that's going on in the world. The Mage/Templar thing is just the background noise you will have to sift through to get to the bottom of things.

I completely agree with this statement.  It is my hope that at least some of the mage injustice will be answered for by the end of DA3.  Though what we saw in Kirkwall was an extreme compared to other circles.  Still improvements in training and overall treatment of mages needs to be addressed everywhere.

Well, think of all the fun 'romance' threads we can experience in that time period. All ready today there's one involving a darkspawn and the lovely idea of relations with your dead sister from DA2.

There was that one during the Tower quest in DAO that was all for being put the sword for the sin of being a mage. Seems like she'd support the templars.

Also, wasn't Wynne pretty supportive?

I can barely remember these things. My DA memories are dusty!

+1

I'd rather not have to deal with another game released in Beta. Every time that I hear about someone putting in overtime or rushing to get work done, I cringe. Rushing just means more mistakes. If they don't have enough time, I'd rather they just bumped the release date back a couple of months than have to play through an unfinished, rushed game that has had features ripped out of it.

That sounds hot!

She can join us uber awesome templars anytime. We'll torture her and she'll like it!
