Its sales are probably higher than LotSB, because PS3 owners already had it (came with it on disc), so Leviathan had the PS3 sales that LotSB didn't. Just speculation

I'm not exactly what you're talking about; are you saying Leviathan came together with the PS3 version of ME3? Well, that's obviously not the case.

Then again I'm a bit exhausted right now so excuse me if I'm not understanding you.

It has been our largest selling DLC to date, but I'm not going into specific numbers.

Sweet, as long as it sells we keep getting more! :D

No, it's the other way around: the PS3 version of ME2 already came with LotSB (and some other ME2 DLCs).

I bought Leviathan and I hated the endings. I was hoping for something that tied into the endings to make it more bearable, and that's not what I got. Of course, realising all of the events in Leviathan changed nothing and was largely rendered meaningless by the endings was something that hit me later.

I know I won't be buying future DLCs because the endings invalidate anything that comes before it.

Unless you got everyone killed at the end of the game, that's not true.

A big problem with marketing the DLC is that it came out 6 months after the release of the game. Most of the more casual fans have traded/put away the game already. If they had been able to do a more normal DLC schedule it probably would have done better.

But

Go often awry,
And leave us nothing but grief and pain,
For promised joy!

Why would you think it would make the endings more bearable? It was stated it would have NO EFFECT on the endings.

So I have no idea what you were thinking.

Didnt stop it from being excellent DLC, but then I also dont subscribe tot he ending invalidates everything issue either so *shrug*.

Nothing personal, but I'm inclined not to believe you.

Oh well, my $10 could have bought you a cold beer and a burger (maybe cupcakes?).  More for me I suppose

Didn't you know something becomes true as long as you keep repeating it regardless of fact?

actually the way I see it it could go either way.

With the furor the game is still generating it wouldnt be that hard for me to believe.

Though selling more than LOTSB would be a feat.  But then again LOTSB did come out nearly 9 months later so...*shrug*

Good news either way though

There were some great locations and they brought back the squad...
There was some nice stuff on indoctrination and Reapers in the trailers...
Also, controversy creates cash...

Assuming Mr. Priestly is being truthful (not always a safe assumption), it is disappointing that Leviathan is selling so well.

I will continue to hold the wallet.

to be fair the ME2 for the PS3 already has LotSB on the disc, and everyone who wanted to play Leviathan had to pay for it

So basically almost every ME3 DLC is gonna sell more than LotSB, but you can compare them to LotSB to see if there really good

Apologies, I worded it out poorly. LotSB (and all other story DLC besides Arrival) was on every PS3 copy of ME2, so sales of LotSB were only on Xbox and PC, whereas Leviathan had sales on all 3 platforms.

You don't need to give away your whole wallet to buy Leviathan, just ten bucks. But it is a nice gesture nevertheless.

Sounds a bit like Mitt Romney every time he is asked for any details about his policies.

The right question isn't "how well did Leviathan sell?" It's a subjective concept. Simple sales numbers aren't worth much, either. LotSB wasincluded with the ME2 PS3 release, so comparing DLCs isn't accurate. At best, you can look at the percent of PC and 360 ME2 owners who purchased LotSB to the percentage of ME3 owners who purchased Leviathan. If the % isn't as high, Leviathan isn't actually doing as well even though its numbers are up. But even then, we are trying to establish a metric where there isn't one.

What do you mean?

Before the DA2 team admitted that the DLC sales for DA2 were abyssmal they continued to state how well everything was going, how much MORE was coming and how excited people were for new content.

Then two DLC's in, one cancelation and a Videogame pannel later we find out that DLC sales were damn near 1/5th or so of DA:O sales if I recall correctly And DA2's reception was warm and fuzzy by comparison

So when Chris says, despite absolutely everything pointing to the oposite, "biggest selling DLC to date" I'm more than a little skeptical.

A company, for any number of reasons won't come out and just flat out state "Yeah. Our **** isn't moving"

Weekes got his coat pulled for even SUGESTING they might sell poorly before Leviathan released. "Future content depends on the success of leviathan"

Then barely two days later a day or so before or after Levi released (don't recall) "Oh you don't have to worry about more content. We have lots planned and are working on it! Slip of the tongue:lol:." (Paraphrasing)

So yeah. I'm skeptical on the statement.

Also, though its nitpicking (I tend to do that) "Biggest Selling" could actually be Chris using word play. Which he's known to do in the past Biggest selling does not equal best. Could mean "BIGGEST" as in filesize.

I haven't downloaded Levi so I have no idea how big it is or how it compares to LotSB in size. But that could be a meaning *shrug* A nit pick as I said, but as I also said he's known to do it every now and again. (Usually did it to prank us rather than reassure people of the success of his company though)
