I get the error as soon as the 1st cutscene ends: exception raised unhandled page fault on read access to 0x00000101 at adress 0x700435c0
Then it asked me
DO you wish to debug it?
Yes or No

Yes, I am having the same issue. If I skip the first cutscene I can get to the first dialogue scene, but as soon as that ends it still crashes due to a page fault.

Yeah there's somebody else that has the same exact problem. I think its just that bioware released the game to early. The best thing to do right now is hope and wait.

I contacted ea through live chat 3 times and none seemed to have helped me fix the issue except the 3rd. One guy on this mac forum stated that he fixed the problem by reinstalling 5 times and it finally worked so that what the ea guy said I'm just going to have to reinstall alot of times.

Im having the same problem and after being in touch with the EA tech support Im starting to get the impression that they dont even have the slightest idea about what is wrong with the game and just suggest standard procedure rubbish like installing the game on a different account... Was anyone able to get rid of the problem? And did the 5 times re-installing work for anyone else?

Hello ... I'm a little new to Dragon Age on Mac or PC, cuz I've always played it on PS3. But I've just read all ur comments as I was just having the same issues, except it was at random areas of the game. I noticed it stopped though when I made my Video resolution 800 x 600 or something rather than have it at a high resolution. Doesn't crash on me anymore. I don't know if its a permanent solution or temporary, but maybe you can give that a try and see if it works?

Please try the stickies first:-

http://social.biowar...8/index/7280573 "read first" for a reason!

http://social.biowar...8/index/6265850 lots of solutions for a wide range of problems.

http://social.biowar.../58/index/81613 various DLC issues.

http://social.biowar...8/index/5151520 more DLC issues, especially for Ultimate Edition users.

Then try a fresh post/thread of your own. And please register your game on here.  Helps show you have a genuine copy.

Failing that http://social.biowar.../58/index/87251 explains where official support can be found.

Help others to help you. After all, this forum you are in now is user-to-user help. You will see very little from EA/Bioware here.
