[color=rgb(170, 170, 170)"> ]i would say it's to show off the game as a whole to persuade people to buy the game it's all about the varry first imprecision of the game witch it shows who you can play and alittle about the story its to go  omg that just looks so god dang awesome i so have to play that game! but some women might have seen the Dragon Age 2 Champion Trailer (or any of the other ones) and been like that looks cool BUT it's just anther game with some macho dude in it why should i play it? and if it showed lady Hawke  and been finally a game with an awesome none sankey female main protagonist and bought it because of that. so what do you think?[/color]
(this is kinda my respose to why a female should be in the trailer)

([color="#aaaaaa"]umm my point was they wouldn't know that there was a female to play because it's not in the trailer and not looked any more it to it than that but if the female was shown they might look up about it or go buy the game[/color])

Well obviously the point of a trailer is to garner as much interest as possible. I already said in the other thread that I think showcasing the option to play as female would be a good thing. Even the Skyrim trailer never mentioned that at all. They only showed the same character every time. You could be forgiven for thinking that the protagonist was completely fixed.

I didn't say that Skyrim needed any help garnering interest, merely that that was the point of a trailer.

I think gaming in general needs to promote inclusivity, regardless of whether or not it would help sell games.

I didn't think it got much marketing - especially compared to the current lot of over the top in your face marketing.

I think its more just because huge, open single player experiences are so few and far between.

Personally I'm not a fan of CGI trailers since they are not an accurate representation of the game.
Case in point the CGI trailer for DA2 Now look at that same fight in the game

Im female and honestly when I saw male hawke in the trailer It didnt bother me at all. I knew I could play female anyway so meh.
