I was just finishing up the quests in Orzammar, when I noticed that my list of completed quests included one called "Of Noble Birth". I honestly don't remember ever getting or doing that quest. The log said something about about me failing to regain the status of my illegitimate son, and that he is now casteless or something of the sort. My character has never had a son - I did not even know that your character could do that. But, the thing about the son being casteless confuses me even more, since that suggests something to do with the dwarves (it is an Orzammar quest); but, my character is a human mage, not a dwarf at all.
Does anyone know anything about this "Of Noble Birth" quest? Is it just a bug that it shows up as one of my completed quests?

Yes you can only get it if you're a Dwarf Noble. Sounds like a bug.

I just had to imagine you going to Harrowmont or Aeducan, trying to get it accepted into a house:
You: "Say, could you do me a favour and accept my child into your house?"
Harrowmont/Aeducan: "Eh... what? Why should I want a human in my house?"
You: "Oh it's not a human, it's a dwarf."
Harrowmont/Aeducon: "How do YOU got yourself a dwarven child??? You're here for the first time... and... are... HUMAN!"
