As David Gaider stated once "... having a major character in a game sound just like that major character from the previous game wouldn't do.... "  So, we can forget about our favorites from previous games. And though chances that this particular tread will be read (not to mention taken into consideration) by developers are close to none. Still, we can dream, can we?

A lot of my favorites (Steve Blum, Gideon Emery, Adam Howden, Eve Myles, Victoria Kruger and - oh, so many - others) are off the list then. But there are still actors I personally would love to hear. Like Troy Baker, for example. One of the sexiest voice in the game industry, yet you never get him for LI acting! No fair! (curse you, BW, for Zenith) Or Mark Bazeley. God, what a voice! And he was only doing Additional Voices in DA2 - can we hope to get him for real action now? There are way to many to list but those two as VA for major characters would make me the happiest gamer in the world.

Oh, and Grey DeLisle as a female protagonist - is a dream.

Whose voice would you like to hear in the game? As protagonist or companion?

Is Sigrun a major character? Because I love Natalia Cigliuti's voice, and I'd love so much if she voiced someone in DA3.

They need to get the guy who voices Dr. Krieger from Archer to voice somebody.

I don't quite understand. Many voice actors returned to reprise the same roles they played in previous Bioware games.

I don't really want a voiced PC, but I'd like to see Simon Pegg in DA3.

Gilbert Gottfried and Fran Drescher for PC voices.

He means like... Steve Valentine won't voice a major character in a Dragon Age game that isn't Alistair.

This led to things like Isabela getting a new VA in DA2 because her VA in Origins was the same as Anora (a major character) and Anders being changed to Adam Howden in DA2 because Greg Ellis' Cullen was getting an expanded role.  Either Cullen or Anders' voice was gonna be getting changed, since in DA:O/A they were both Greg Ellis.

I agree with this. I started playing a female Trooper in The Old Republic and it's really jarring how much she sounds like female Shepard. If I can't get over the voice, I may have to delete that character.

I think he only meant games from the same series,.

Means, we will not see Alistair in DA3 even as cameo?

You should try a female Imperial agent next!

Troy Baker sounds like a good idea. He was great as Zenith in Old Republic and very satisfying as Logan in Guild Wars 2 (but then, Destiny's Edge has some of the best voice actors in the game).

Also, I think everybody should play a male agent at least once in their lives. He follows the rules. He's a winner.

I'd like to see Tim Watson (Teagan/Gamlen) back, and Stephane Cochran--(I think that's his name, the gent who did Riordan/Stroud anyway). Not as familiar with female actresses, though I like the one who did Mama Cousland/Leandra Hawke.

Of course, why would the devs cast the same actor to play two major characters in the same game?

That certainly doesn't mean "we can forget about all our favorites from the previous games."

For example, if Varric, Morrigan, Merril, Oghren or Flemeth returns to DA3, I would be quite surprised if those roles are not played by Brian Bloom, Claudia Black, Eve Myles, Steve Blum or Kate Mulgrew.

Yeah, but that's not what he meant.  He meant two major characters within the same universe will not share a VA if they can help it.

I'd like Sigrun's voice actress to get another role. She deserves more than Morinth and Sigrun. Troy Baker is great too. Mhairi/Traynor's voice actress has a lovely voice as well.

Of course, isn't that a good thing? There are very few voice artists (Billy West and Lani Minella perhaps), who can pull it off.

If your favorite was a very minor role that happened to be played by the voice actor of a major role, perhaps you have reason to be concerned, but for most of us, our favorites in the previous games were among the major characters.
