Richard Dillane -  Relatively unknown, but has had a few movie-roles and a couple of tv-shows. His voice is superb however, and I would love for him to voice either the male protagonist or another major character. He can make a voice that makes him sound kind of like Aarin Gend from Neverwinter Nights. If you want to hear the voice I am talking about, watch the start of the movie Tristan + Isolde, where he plays Tristan's father Aragon.

Speaking of Aarin Gend, does anyone know who voiced him? I say bring that guy back!

Iain Glen - As either a villain a la Resident Evil: Extinction, or as a more heroic typ a la Game of Thrones, his voice is just so cool.

Troy Baker - Sounds great in what we have seen and heard from The Last Of Us. Has a really dark and cool voice.

David Hayter - Superb job in both Solid Snake, and as the male Jedi knight in SWTOR.

Nolan North - Obvious choice, but he really is one of the best in the industry.

Peter Dinklage -  No, I'm not suggesting him for a dwarven voice. He just has a very theatrical and cool voice in my opinion.

Ray stevenson - Titus Pullo, Dagonet, Frank Castle, Volstag. He has done quite a few great characters, and the voice is often a great factor in making someone sounding tough or burly. I think he could make a great comic-relief character.

Russel Crowe - No way in hell that we would do it, but by golly, that man has a sweet voice.

let's review some Hollywood actors who have done voices for video games:

Martin Sheen, Keith David, Seth Green and Freddy Prinze, Jr are obvious.
Liam Neeson - James (or "Dad") in Fallout 3
Sam Worthington - Alex Mason in Black Ops
Sarah Michelle Geller - Call of the Dead DLC for Black Ops
Danny Trejo - Raul in Fallout: New Vegas, also was in Call of the Dead
Ron Pearlman - Narrator in just about every Fallout game, also Butch in the first game
Sean Bean - Martin Septim in Oblivion
Christopher Plumber - Arngeir in Skyrim
and least we forget, Burt Reynolds in Saint's Row The Third.

anyway. the point being, what you said would have been true years ago, but for different reasons, mainly video games not being taken seriously enough. nowadays the gloves are off and almost anyone could show up in a video game.

anyway, i have been saying for years that Tony Todd should play some kind of villian, so that's my suggestion.

Manu Bennett (the guy who plays Crixus in Spartacus: Blood and Sand), great voice for a warrior. Maybe Kossith?

Christopher Walken playing...well, himself. Just in a fantasy setting. Would be fun.

Rob Brydon should voice a relatively major Dalish character, doesn't have to be a party member.

and lastly, for great justice: Stephen Fry needs to be the voice of the PC's father and/or the narrator.

He didn't confirm he wouldn't return at all. What he said was he hadn't been contacted to return, which could mean either he hasn't been contacted yet, or he won't be contacted at all (my money's on the former). He mentioned this though.

Pick any of the female VA for character classes from The Old Republic. Those.

(I say female specifically because, well, I've only tried female characters thus far.)

Stephen Fry would be a  excellent choice! Same goes for the other female voice actors that you mentioned
