Tevinter without hesitation. Qunari society is pretty impossible to change while with enough power I could always revolutionize Tevinter society, or if I felt like being a colossal douche bag I could live like a king.
Would you side with the Qunari or the Tevinter Imperium?

The Imperium.

wow, Karlone123, this is a really difficult choice. I suppose it would depend on what's been going on the whole time in the game. While their honor is kind of an alien thing, Qunari do have some kind of honor (vs the Tevinters who come across as selfish demon infested blood mages almost to a man). Yet, mage is my favorite class and we all know Qunari view mages as beasts, muzzling and leashing them. If I picked a side, it would probably have a lot more to do with my class (or that of my favorite companion) at the time, than any personal feelings I, as a player, felt.

DA3 is going to have some form of multipony, so being able to play with friends will probably be nice. Which means I'll want to play Jedi, but will wind up having Sith characters. Again.

Tevinter. And after the Qunari are permanently defeated, I'll turn on the Imperium and wipe it out as well. I think that'd likely be easier than the other way around... And won't require supporting the Qunari's treatment of mages while I'm allied to them.
...I don't really wanna choose, though, because... Sten. I still love you, kadan ;.;

The Qunari. From what I've seen, I like their culture better than Tevinter's. I also like Qunari technologies.

Well, the Qunari are clearly the stronger party. So my calculation would be whether Tevinter is a lost cause and I should get on the good side of the Qunari, or whether enough support for Tevinter would bleed the Qunari enough to make them vulnerable in the future for whatever I want to do.
I think Tevinter is headed for a fall regardless, though. I wonder why?

I wouldn't side with either at this stage. Let them continue to eat each other alive for all I care.
If either of them pull something outrageously bugnutty, I plan to side with the other one and hope I can force-feed them some reforms under the threat of catastrophic annihilation.

I would side with the tevinter in a heart beat. That society is so interesting that it would be so fun to play for their faction. No other society is ruled by mages. It makes no sense for any Mage to chose the quanari. Mages are treated like kings in tevinter but are treated the opposite by the quanari.

Maybe the Cow People mages could be spared.

Begrudgingly go with Tevinter, might as well side with the half-heathens than the full thing.
+1 and LOL
Though really, I'd side with both on different playthroughs. For science.

Uhm... Would depend entirely on the circumstances and the character which I played.
My steadfast warriors who believe in solidarity might side with the Qunari. Depending entirely on their personal circumstances, beliefs and personalities.
Any of my mages would undoubtedly side with Tevinter in the hopes of preventing the Qunari's rise to ultimate power. Regardless of the kind of people they are - Self preservation would trump most things.
My rogues would likely just go "lolno" and run for the hills.
Like I said, it would depend entirely on the character I was playing, and the circumstances with which the choice was required. Largely, I could imagine my characters siding with Tevinter, if only to avoid allying themselves with the Qunari.

I am always anti-Qunari. They are interesting and I think they are a great part of Dragon Age, but that's mostly because I love to hate them.
I think they are probably my most 'hated' faction, behind only the darkspawn (obviously).
I guess that means I'm pro-Tevinter in this argument? Yay slavery and ritual sacrifices?
