I dislike both factions and don't want to have to choose either one. The only thing worse than having to choose one or the other would be a magical device that:
1) Kills all Qunari (and BTW also all dwarves)
2) Mind controls all Qunari, or
3) Fuses all Qunari and Tevinter mages, creating a new DNA that will ensure conflict will never arise between the two again.
If that comes up I'll refuse to choose, allowing Ferelden to be utterly obliterated.
Would you side with the Qunari or the Tevinter Imperium?

I can't see what would make me want to side with the Qunari. Yes, interesting race, and surprisingly I did like Sten, but my own personal values run in such a vastly different direction. They really are alien. Same with the Templars really.

For now it's a no. I don't like either of these groups.

I would get rid of the game and bomb BSN with hateful death if they did this.

Not quite sure. Tevinter seems like a barbaric, ultra-pragmatic civilization that values expediency above 'decency.' On the other hand, however, the Qun seem to be too totalitarian to sit well in my stomach, despite organizing a 'tranquil' civil life.
Unfortunately, Tevinter, despite being organized around a sociopathic, mage-centric government, would be utlimately be my ally as I am assuming my hypothetical self is not one with the Qun. (We all saw what happens to level-headed, non-Qun in DA: 2...pun very intended).

Failing that just turn into a demon and kill everyone.

Tevinter. The Magisters may have institutionalized slavery, but the Qunari have perfected it. They have an entire society that places the shackles on themselves and says 'Thank you' for the privilege.

The Tevinter seem like they're just as bad as the Qunari with Orana being brainwashed to the point that she expressed more sympathy for Hadriana than her own family, and friends who Hadriana killed earlier.TK514 wrote...

Tevinter, mostly because it seems less stable. Given enough time it will collapse in on itself like before.
Qunari have gone entirely too 1984, while also maintaining just enough moderates in their ranks to keep the whole thing from crashing. Even after the society itself falls the Qun will likely keep resurfacing for a thousand years and more.

I could side with either, depending on which character I am roleplaying. Me specifically and not my characters, I would side with the Qunari in a heartbeat.

Hrrm. The decadent and corrupt empire built on the backs of slaves? Or the giant religious zealots who hate individuality?
How about, to hell with both of them?

Tevinter obviously, my mage has allways dreamed of becoming a Magister.
