Yeah, the map's gonna be bigger than DA:O's apparently.
That's meaningless. DA:O didn't have a map, it just had a whole bunch of levels selectable from a 2D interface.

It was a map, and the POINT is that we're told to expect the DA:3 map to be even bigger. Last I read, we could expect to travel within Orlais, Tevinter, and a few other places. So yes, bigger map than that of Origins.

So what if the 2D map graphically displays more Thedosian geography, but has fewer 3D levels/playfields for your character to run around in and they are physically smaller than the ones from DAO and DA2? Is it still "bigger" than DAO? Do you see what I'm saying?
You're just being obtuse on purpose.

It's a rhetorical question, not something I expect an answer to. And it's very important to parse dev-speak correctly. Saying the map in DA3 is going to be "bigger than DAO" is meaningless because the map in DAO had no dimensions. It was just a visual hub for loading different parts of the game.jkflipflopDAO wrote...

If they say DA3 will have more and larger levels/playfields than DAO, then you've got something approaching a concrete statement. Unless of course you're just thrilled at the prospect of a world map that shows more of Thedas than just Fereldan.
