 I was wondering if this is possible, because I have a Human Male Mage from DAO and since Hawke is an Amell from his mother's side, that would make them cousins if not somewhat related. Since this happened in DA2, is it possible this could happen in DA3? I kinda have this plan to have members of the Amell family(the Warden and Hawke)  having been the ones to have changed the world, and hoping this could possibly continue with another Amell can be the protagonist in DA3, similar in Orgins where we could creat our character and choose an origin story, one could be an Amell again.

Only problem is that the other five warden origins have no relation. If that is going to be a theme, they'd have to establish that they were all related, too. Maybe this time we have a relative of the Couslands.

Dalish Elf for the next PC. All Dalish consider themselves related so it could work for Mahariel and the Inquisitor

Well, I was hoping for at least a mention or something like in DA2, Cullen, Leandra, and Bethany say that they are related, not actually a big part of the story but a nod to it similar to DA2. And I'm all for any other wardens related to DA3's protagonist.
Edit: I actually have a couple Couslands, and I wouldn't mind them to be related to the "Inquisitor" cause then it wouldn't be them and Fergus the only ones left.  I'm not saying they HAVE to be related, just give us the option like in Origins where we create our character's race, class, and Origin story.

Haha, I'd love that. My main Warden was an F!Amell, so knowing my Hawke and Warden were related was awesome. But I figured that it'd be pretty unlikely for it to happen again.

Ah well! Fun while it lasted.

Well, I just want the option to pick my Origin story again. It added a level personal investment in your character and their motivations. Rather than just playing a character BioWare made, you had a character you felt was yours. But I feel like they aren't doing that again....

But if they did have origin stories I guess one could be an Amell, or a Cousland, or whatever. I am kind of indifferent as far as my PCs being blood related to each other goes.

I'd hope not, I only did it to see the potential dialogue but I hate the idea of every protagonist being related.

Hmm, i see your point, but again, i just hope its optional for those who want it to happen. Still buy the game if this won't happen, but I would like to see a mention or something.

No. I despise Hawke whom I perceive as set character. I will not have my character related to any developer's character even if one of my wardens is Amell.

No. I was ok-ish with the Amell thing, but not again. If he/she is related to a different warden origin, i'm ok. but I'd refrain from any further relations.

With an entire continent full of people and at least a portion of the game being set in Orlais, I would hope Bioware would have a new hero is completely unrelated to any previously introduced families.

That's not always the case I share a same 2nd name with someone else but we are not familiy.
Some names are just common others are not

@Elfdawrf I know but just beccause they share the same surname dose not mean they are related I don't think DA3's hero will be related to the warden or hawke
