What's troubling me, it's the "boob armor". Makes an excellent shot trap, i.e. every bolt deflected may hit the throat or jaw. The ubiquitous decolettage of woman armor makes thing even worse.
Not to mention that falling over with a boob bumps armor would result in a broken spine.
Oh, and its looks just silly.

A better example in hindsight would probably have been Anders. But I'm so sick of having that argument that I picked someone else.
Another example can also be Isabela, I think. I believe Isabela is a very complex character and when you romance her you start to understand her issues with love and the way she tackles relationship... I find it very believable and love the way her writer worked with her. But, for the BSN, she's nothing but a dirty, sick ****. Because she likes sex.
In fact, the only argument I've seen for Isabela being a ****, other than apparently liking sex too much, is that she had disgusting sex diseases omg. But I don't think Thedas has protection against those things? Unless there are Spirit Healers handy everywhere, anyone can have this issue, Hawke included. Hell, a FemCousland who slept with Dairren could have given Alistair the evil itch Isabela is hated for, and the poor thing had to endure it until they found Wynne.

Wouldn't falling over forward break the sternum?
Either way is not good for your hitpoints

Thanks God games like The Witcher 2 still exists in this politically correct society. I think that instead of making a good game BW is just worried of doing fanservice to every feminist/gay/lesbian inside the fanbase. Freedom of being sexist inside a game if they so choose.

It's not good for your street cred either. You'll be the laughingstock for the rest of the adventure.

well nope, you have a back plate a placard and faulds so nothing is going to get broken unless free falling.
if you just have bra type of fantasy armour, you are much more likely to get disambowelled before falling over.

Another poster in a different thread responds to this kind of thinking better than I could:
Vandicus wrote...
Well, see the rating systems for video games is basically backwards. This is for a very important reason, but its still backwards, but people use it as a measuring stick of maturity anyways.
A setting where, all else being equal, the denizens are not sexist, is one with more mature characters than a setting where the characters are sexist. Likewise a setting where people solve their problems without violence and lacking in racism would be more mature than one without those things.
However the more mature the characters of a setting are the more likely it is to receive a PG rating, and the more immature the more likely they are to receive an M rating. That's because the video game rating system is supposed to be a guideline for what maturity level the player should have. The idea is to keep younger folks from seeing immature behavior and emulating it. Unfortunately some people completely miss this, and come to the conclusion that maturity is equivalent to these things that are not included in "less mature" video games. This is partially where the idea that vulgarity and violence equate to maturity comes from.
Or you could skip reading it and continue to enjoy the freedom to be sexist you hold dear.

well i fall in neither of those categories being male and straight and i really tires me of women being portrayed like in the last Conan movies or in an episode of supernatural.
Don't get me wrong I do not necessarily agree that the witcher is epitome of sexism, especially if you place it in the context of the books. but you can't disagree that there an abnormal share of Justine or Juliette than any other type of women in there.

But seriously, what are you envisioning happening here?
For a backward fall, it's the same as traditional armor. For a forward fall, you might get a bunch of force to your chest, but that's not going to break your spine. That's assuming the person doesn't use their arms at all in this fall.
The only thing in a forward fall that might affect the spine would be if the person laid on their front and the boob cones raised their torso higher than their legs, creating a bend in the spine. But even with a woman with large breasts, that would be minimal raising, and regular plate armor also tends to have a projected chest. Only it's a single rising in the center as opposed to two at the side.
I mean, I guess if the person in armor fell off a horse, they might break their spine, but that can happen even if you're not wearing armor at all.

I think he's referring to this kind of stuff:

Not actual 'real' plate armour. Though I think I've seen some metal plate 'boob' armour in German larp contexts.
Though I, too, don't see the spine breaking with this. Just the 'central spine' between the boobs driven into the sternum under certain circumstances. Then again, you can break ribs and the sternum just doing CPR.
Anyway, can't remember seeing this in DA, though I think there was some in Neverwinter Nights.
And frankly, I wouldn't really mind it in DA, I place it very much in D&D / comic land in terms of 'realism'.
And I can understand this argument...

I agree, with regular plate armor - though the excessive boob armor we see in lots of games would surely damage the spine or even break it, thats my point. Its just a feature that is highly unnecessary in a suit that is meant to keep the wearer save in combat, and the bigger said ''features'' are the more dangerous things get.
Not to mention that there are several other disadvantages with a armor designed like that, its less rigid than a flat breast plate, it traps blades etc....
I mean, it just makes as much sense as having astronaut space suits with huge boobs for female astronauts. Why don't we have that? Because its silly, potentially dangerous and nobody needs it.

Remember folks;
good game = sexism, bigotry (none of which is EVER fanservice for straight, male gamers)
bad game = equality, representation, good writing (all of which is cheap tawdry fanservice towards us... raging queer ladies? IDK)
