I've played 2 - 3 on the PS3 and am finally now thinking about *attempting* to play the complete series, starting with ME1, from start to finish if my lousy computer will allow me. I'll be running a Nvidia GT 520, a budget low profile card. I don't need five gazillion  fps, but I'd like something, be it on whatever setting, that isn't jarringly slow, ya'know? So if anyone could answer this question of can I play ME1 - ME3 it would be greatly apperciated.

You won't be able to play ME-3, and you will have driver problems in ME-1, but you should be able to do all right in ME-2 (the correct thread for the question was waiting for you).

Can my PC run this game? (ME2 / ME3)

Please note that NVIDIA GeForce G.205, G.210, 310, 7100, 7200, 7300, 7400, 7500, 8100, 8200, 8300, 8400, 9100, 9200, and 9300, also (probably) GT 520/610; ATI Radeon X1300, X1550, HD 2400, 3100, 3200, HD 3450, HD 3470, HD 4200, HD 4250, HD 4350, HD 4380, 4550, and (probably) HD 6370 are below minimum system requirements. Updates to your video and sound card drivers may be required. Intel  and S3 video devices are not officially supported in Mass Effect 2.

(**)Two of the Geforce 6800s are worse than the next-lower Geforce game card, the 6600 GT, and should be avoided (6800 SE, 6800 XT).

It's not going to be a perfect run with such a low powered card, so stick with a relatively low screen resolution, and get rid of as much background clutter as possible (only the minimum services, after it's been registered and ready to go, don't stay connected, shut off the modem, play it offline so you can shut down the browser and malware protection, etc).
