Dark Sector:

Picked it up for 3 dollars with the change left over from paying off another game about 2 months ago and I feel like it's the best unofficial preorder bonus of all time. It's a very well crafted third person shooter with an above average plot, creative gameplay mechanics in the form of a Bladed Boomerang called a Glaive, and even a couple instances of survival horror. It's not a polished as Gears or Uncharted sure, and there's a multiplayer mode that I know I'll never be finding matches for, but as a package, I got one hell of a deal and would probably buy a sequal day 1.
Folklore:
An action RPG which is like a grown up Pokemon. The gameplay gets repetitive, and like many japanese games, the voice acting and plot are fairly woeful, but there's really nothing else like it and the graphics are really, REALLY pretty for a game of it's age. Plus, as a student of history, the fact that all of the monsters are based on, well, real world Folklore is really cool. You can learn quite a bit from the descriptions.
Anyone else know of some other bargain bin classics? It IS a Recession after all.
