For me it was the cheekbones, but yeah, I totally get where you're coming from.Zack_Nero wrote...
Yea that Mirror was really nice, can't tell you how many times I kept on coming back to it because I didn't like the hair and chin. Never happy with the chin.oui_je_danse wrote...

Also, a huge quibble with both ME2 and DA2 is that their character creators were *after* enormous unskippable sections - REALLY frustrating to redo appearance changes! A character creator that lets us fiddle with things before release would be really handy.
So true. So true!
The DA2 character creator also had that weird black background and odd lighting. You had to see some gameplay/dialogue before you knew how it would actually play out. The Mirror of Transformation was a great blessing.

It's possible to get around the enormous cutscene of doom on PC by simply removing the video files, but yeah, it's a huge pain in the ass.
And don't get me started on how hard it was to create a custom ManShep who looked halfway decent.

Integration with a revamped BSN would also be interesting - exporting our character into an avatar, sharing a player history/appearance file on social networks...

Agreed, or if you do this, can I either edit my character beforehand, or import to a separate creator. I would spend HOURS sometimes trying to give FemHawke some semblance of a jawline, or cheekbones. My posted characcters emphasize my failure.

Lips for me, they never looked right when the PC spoke.
I agree with Cylanthegreat though any early releases need to be stripped of spoilers. I don't regret reading the ME3 ones but I wish the leak hadn't happened.

I have a nasty habbit of starting and restaring games, if i don't like how my Charcters nose looks
pluse CC gives me time to think about my charter and how they might act in game.

I always find the cheekbones are ****ed up without me realizing... Please fix the cheek bone editor at least to make it more clearer what our characters cheek bones are like! Dragon Age 2 tried to do it but it just made the characters face look chubby (in my opinion)
I just make my characters with really anorexic-looking faces and then use a nice longish hairstyle to cover it up. Works like a charm.
Maybe not for male PCs though...

I had a horror run of custom manSheps in ME who looked fine right up until the first time he has to smile in a cutscene - then the cheekbones would turn out to be awful. It's really hard to know what certain angles look like until you see it in-game, especially with the limited preview options we got in ME's character creator.
Some more control over zoomng and rotation in the CC would be great.

Also, since they have a voice now, a button to make them talk right there in the CC would be nice. Just sort of "Hi, I'm Hawke." Then a smile and a frown, or something.

For me, my DA:O ladies all suffered from the David Bowie curse. A few hours into gameplay I'd realize they looked like one of David Bowie's many incarnations. It was... disturbing. Where was my Mirror of Transformation then?
ETA: Take a moment to envision a tender love scene between Alistair and David Bowie. This is a thing I accidentally made happen. Please, oh please always have a Mirror of Transformation.

If you look hard enough, you'll find there's a David Bowie lookalike everywhere in games..

Obviously they should consider including complete character creator as part of demo at least on PC (provided there is a demo).
