Should past Love interest be locked out in Da3 for saves with ultimate sacrifice wardens?

Lamens terms: While I want leliana to move on, I can't help but feel she'd still be unfaithful to my warden if she were to potentially get romantically involved with this new girl even tho my warden's dead.
Thoughts?

I highly doubt Leliana will be romance-able, or even in the party, for DA3. We already have Cassandra.
Cassandra is a warrior, not a rogue.I can't dismiss the possibility of leliana returning as companion because she's become fairly integral to the over-all plot post Da2.Bioware even announced plans for leliana to be included in more dlc before all Da2 projects were brought to an abrupt halt.

I think that it would be more trouble than it was worth to do something like this.
It would be nice if the LI rejected romantic advances like zevran did in Da2.Even tho my hawke was rejected, there was a peace of mind in knowing that he was remaining loyal to the warden.

Although if it HAS to happen, than I hope it's done correctly. There should at least be an option to keep them faithful to the Warden. Maybe it could work like how Shepard could handle his previous romances in Mass Effect 2. The PC could either tempt the LI away from their previous lover and encourage them to move on, or allow them to remain faithful and we'll get some type of reunion at the end.
I don't want it to be just another Jacob Taylor romance.. *shivers*

If it was up to me, I would lock out any previous companions that were already LI. It's too easy to mess up the imports flags and I think we could all agree on trying to avoiding another Zevran accident. If you want to romance that character, than do it in the game that option first appeared in.

^ That is pure unadulterated genius.
I would love to be able to still influence or strengthen my warden's romance as a new protagonist.

Past LIs shouldn't be associated with the new character enough for it to matter.
With the direction the tide has been pushing, I can't see leliana or morrigan playing on the side lines while the world burns.

That may not necessarily mean she will return. He could have been referring to that revelation being in the comics. Or maybe a codex entry in a future game. Information doesn't constitute a cameo, unfortunately.Emzamination wrote...

Not being associated enough with the new character to be an LI doesn't imply they'll be "on the sidelines." Though I wouldn't be surprised if they were, anyway, nor find it particularly troubling. It doesn't need to be a tiny world where you keep running into the same handful of people over and over again.Emzamination wrote...

Of course, but couple that with the fact that she can not die by any means in Da2.

My guess is that Leliana and perhaps Morrigan might act as quest givers, but I very strongly doubt they will be companions. And if they are then I don't want them romanceable.

You don't think the Divine's (left/right) hand or Flemeth's daughter will be right there in the trenches fighting with the protagonist that's supposed to save the world?

And that does not in any way confirm she'll be a companion. She might just come and say "I hate pants and my real name is [insert name]" and never be seen for the whole game.

By that logic, I guess Aveline, Varric and Sebastian are guaranteed to return. My point is that there are no guarantees, nothing has been "solidified." How the story seems to be staged thus far does not mean it will take the predicted path.Emzamination wrote...

Define "trenches." Arl Eamon was in "the trenches," was he an LI?Emzamination wrote...
