I don't know about you guys but I would love a Suicide mission for DA3, somthing that grips you to the edge of you're seat.
But the question is what would make a good Suicide Mission for DA3?

Suicide mission was great for ME2..... come ME3, it was a pain in the ass for the writers and it really showed in the game. So no, I don't think Bioware would be able to handle it properly for sequels.

I never liked the whole "suicide mission" thing in ME2. Every mission for an N7 operative is a potential suicide mission. All of ME1 was a potential suicide mission. It seemed to me like a marketing decision to make up for a thin plot.
And Dragon Age:Origins can literally be a suicide mission. I would rather have a goal based a the story than a story based around a goal. What you're asking for sounds like the latter.

So all in all the S mission would be a pain to handle?

No thank you, the suicide theme is pretty milked already.

All a suicide mission really means is entering into a situation with an extremely low chance of survival. This sums up the vast majority of video game missions, and yet, the protagonist still manages to survive.  - Far Cry 2 SPOILERS - Far Cry 2 ends with a mission where you must kill yourself, its not a possible outcome, it is the requirement to complete the game.

So missions with a low chance of survival will probably be quite frequent in DA3. Missions where the protagonist is required to kill themselves, probably not.

I don't think it would be all that hard to implement...people need to wake up from this silly delusion that your in game choices are what matter in regards to Dragon Age canon.

The writers are gonna do what they want, as well they should, regardless of how many forum whiners cry about their emotional needs not being met.

there is no main character in Dragon age, no one story we follow save for PERHAPS Flemeth's background schemes...and a few dead npc's has no effect on that.

SM is a bit...overrated, imo. But, hey, good news! They already used "here comes Big Bad Evil, you must Unite the Galaxy Ferelden" in DAO. So - no ME3 game layout....hopefully...

I agree in so much as they should all feel like suicide mission.  Story elements aside, the higher the likely hood for failure (combat wise), the more I enjoy the game, generaly.

If you mean a mission where you delegate squad leaders and teams based on the NPC's who are members of your crew then I would love that. Their success based on how you leveled them and thier skills, the relationship you have formed with them and the history you have with them over the course of the game. That would be really cool

If you mean a suicide mission as in probably won't survive then no. I am tired of grimdark craptastic endings made sad for no reason other than to **** the player.

Dragon Age games are not direct sequels like Mass Effect, because of this, they can do a lot of wild things and yet only have to take the big lines into account in sequels.

I didn't think the suicide mission was all the 'epic' personally. I however do think the feature of non party squad roles should be looked at and expanded on.

I dunno... an excursion to the Golden city perhaps?
There's gotta be something nasty down there.
And nasty means fun. Big things to kill!

I really loved the Suicide Mission in Mass Effect 2, but it was what that game was all about. It's time to be original, some people complain A LOT that DA2 was too much like ME.

A mission with the possibility of people being killed - Say at the end of every ''act''. Probably party members with the worst possible outcome being only 3 left for the final in game mission ( Also a mission where everyone in your party - yourself included - can die. ) Lets face it, DA4 (Becuase this is not nearly milked enough) Is only really going toi have a statue or a cameo of the previous PC as its going to be a new ''era'' or game, a clean sheet for new writers etc.

I'd love to have something like this where you can potentially cause the permanent death of your companions.

At least Dragon Age 3 doesn't have to worry about the consequences as much as the ME series.

I think the fact they plan to start a new main character and story with every game plays to their advantage better than the transition of ME2 and ME3. The DA team seems more focused on telling individual stories within the world than the paths of certain characters over a series.

Decent idea if it tailored the story for the arc created.
only SM i can think of at this time would be trying to save the queen/king of Oalise(or whatever its called) who has changed their mind and will back out, while your military is trying to kill them

I'd actually like a few "suicide missions", just not in the way ME2 handled it. What I would like, ideally, is something like the Deep Roads quest in DA2, where Bethany/Carver could become inflicted with the taint. Only it's not just one companion that can be affected by this, but any of them, and it's not just at one point in the storyline. There could be three points in the story for example, where a companion could die because of the player's actions, (or lack of). It would create a sense of real fear for their lives and really show the seriousness of the situation.

It was done in ME2 I enjoyed it but I do not want to have it also in DA3. I do not mind sacrifice theme's and suicide missions but what I do not want is copy and paste of how it was done in ME2 the method and manner of it imported into DA3 vs merely the idiology or theme which I do not mind so much.

So yes it's okay to me to use the theme of sacrifice and suicidal quests, but no to the method and manner was done in ME2.

Feels like a rip off of Me2 but I loved that concept. Maybe they could take some parts like the possibility to loose people unless you prepare for some important missions throughout the plot?
I also liked to be able to choose assignments for characters that weren't in my squad and having to choose right. Maybe send a rouge to climb a wall of a prison or something while a tank is sent to distract the guards so that the protagonist and his/her team can sneak in. I would love to see more of this use of the characters in DA3:I.

God no. Just give me a solid, coherent final mission hopefully with some replay value.

I agree with this. I liked picking who would be good at this or that, and then it having an outcome of your mission.
