how the heck does that import for ME3? I didn't even know Shep could die until seeing it in a ME2 forum thread and then went to youtube to watch it (talk about depressing!!). So if Shep dies, how the heck does that import into ME3? How do you go from dying in the collector base to lock up in Vancover? If anyone has done this I would love to know. Even better would be if someone can give me a youtube link on the beginning if it explains this.

Thanks ahead of time!

A dead ME2 Shep can't be imported.

You can start afresh in ME3, but it won't recognise any imported data.

so if you die, you have to play until Shep lives? Interesting. I was trying to figure out how the heck you could import. At least its not a DA: Awakening blub, where my warden died killing the archdemon and then is alive and well in awakening....

Pretty much. Shep's death in ME2 is an Easter Egg effectively, it doesn't form part of the canon. Only a living Shep can be imported to ME3.
